A lone tree.

A rowboat on the sea.
A girl with a dark need.
A man with a powerful hand.
A lone tree stuck on enemy land.

As night falls and mothers call,
As lights go out
As all you hear is sounds
A flash comes and bombs fall.
As soldiers hit the sand.
They see a lone tree on enemy land.

Children cry as the moon goes black.
Civilians hearts crack.
Chaos rules the world.
None of us are heard.

This tale is one,
Not that old.
Please listen as my story is told.
The blitz came scary true.
It killed the many and few.
We hid and stand,
Under the lone tree on enemy land.

We rose our guns though the night,
Never back down from this fight.
We placed our flag to stand,
Under the lone tree on enemy land.
