peters pov:

lara jean covey. what a beautiful, cute, smart girl. a picture of her cute face showed up in my mind as i day dreamed about her even more. she was 100 times better than gen could ever be. i checked my watch. today, i was 5 minutes early to pick her and kitty up instead of 5 minutes late. i still can't believe im actually dating her, wow! should i kiss her? maybe i shouldn't, kitty would be in the car. but like, she's my real girlfriend now! my thoughts were interrupted as kitty and lara jean slid into my car.

"peter, you're 5 minutes early!" kitty says handing me the korean yogurt drink she gives me everyday.

"ikr, you proud of me? also thanks kitty kat."

"yep! and no problem."

"good morning lara jean." i flip my head, beaming at her.

she smiles and says "good morning" while also handing me some cookies. "i baked these for you."

"thank youuuuu" i kiss her on the cheek, appropriate enough for kitty to see.

we get to school 5 minutes earlier than usual. after kitty leaves for the middle school building, i pick lara jean up and twirl her around. she laughs and kisses me lightly.

"come on, we're going to be late for math!" she says dragging me into school. my girlfriend is a cute ass nerd.

math class

"hello students, today we will be inviting a new student to our school. this is zac. everyone please be kind to him."

a tall dude walks into class all smug. as soon as lara jean sees him her smile turns into a frown. who is he? i try to ask her but she says she will tell me after class.

after class

"do you know zac? why did you look sad when he walked in?"

"he's my sisters ex boyfriend. like before josh. he was so mean to me."

"are you serious! he's like two years younger!"

"so?"

"true. how mean was he?"

"he never even noticed I exsisted. he never said hi to me, he was so dark and only talked to margot. i thought he would be out of our lives one he moved to new york, i guess he's back."

"how come i don't know him?"

"he used to be at another school."

i kiss her on the head, i can feel her smile. "it's ok sweetie, he won't be mean to you know. im right here."

the school bell rings.

"thank you peter, im not worried at all." she kisses me lightly on the lips before running to her next class. "see you at lunch!"
