It is the year 800 B.C. and there is a girl that goes by the name of Aphrodisa and she was born in Cyprus named came from Aphrodite the goddess of love and her actual mother. She is a slave and grow up with slave parents not knowing of a destiny that awaits the young girl. Because she is a slave we don't not have a record of her birth year, but she is a special little girl who is living a normal life. Every generation in her family were slaves. Her ethnicity is Greek.

. Her childhood wasn't easy because she is a slave. She works hard doing what her masters tell her to do just like any other slave on the farm. She would work hard in the field, eat whatever food leftovers her masters decide to give her if any at all like everybody else, and sleep in the barn with the cattle like any other slave.

Aphrodisa would be either 16 or 17 so because she is a teenager she is at the age where she can get married and for her name sake she is interested in marriage and love but right now there hasn't been anyone of interest of her. All the slave guys though were interested in her since she was the most beautiful woman in all of Cyprus. Also, now that she is older she can do more harder work on the fields and be more independent with that work.

The Lliad and the Odyssey were first set into writing. There were epic poems with long narrative tales, told in verse and sung or recited in front of an audience. Aphrodisa loves reading Homeric poems and she even try writing her own set of poetry of life as a slave and how she feels. A lot of clothes Aphrodisa wear were clothes that her mother weave.

Sometimes slaves were sold to masters from Argos, Athens, Cnossus, Corinth, Lefkandi, and Sparta. This is not an ideal life, but they do whatever it takes to survive and not get killed. That is why they always obey their masters. Now that she is reaching adulthood she can handle more responsibility in the field and do more work. Her life doesn't get any easier. Her hopes are for one day free her people from slavery. She had dreams of finding "the one" but right now she is just focusing on finding a way to free her people. She is afraid that she and her friends and family will die as slaves and never have the chance to live like anyone else.
