I laid down in bed and hoped to dream of something great. My pondering lead me to a day I'll never forget, the day I came out.
I remember being in eighth grade, my hair covered my eyes, and I was almost always wearing a distressed jean jacket. I remember being teased for being a quiet kid and never having a girlfriend.
That's when it was time, I finally was going to come out.
A bully pinned me against the wall and screamed in my face. Another comment of how I've never had a girlfriend lead me to do something I've always wanted to do.
"I'M GAY" I yelled
I bit my lip and I was dropped to the floor. I tightly grabbed my shoulder and winced in pain. I was left there by myself.
I sucked up my pain and went to class. I remember everything being fine until my news spread like wild fire. Almost everyone knew about who I was.
People insulted me left and right. I lost friends and most people wanted nothing to do with me. I stuck out like a sore thumb , but I was so hard to notice. All because of who I was.
From that point on, everyone went to hang outs and to parties and I was never invited. I went from so loved to never wanting to be seen again, all in a flash. Eighth grade year sucked.
Now, I'm a sophomore. It's been two years and I still haven't completely healed from that traumatizing chapter of my life.
I rolled over and I began to fall asleep. I began to see a familiar face. Sarah.
