I unsteadily stare at her
"Well, how's it going?" She said
She was slightly interested in me. Maybe not in a Love way, but a friend way.
"It- it's going great!" I stammer
"How's it with you?"
"I'm pretty good. Just drowning in homework" she smiles again
"I could understand that" I said with a genuine smile
"I'm having a party later, if you wanted to go maybe...?" She asked
I paused
"Y-yeah! For sure! Hey can..Kade come along?" I nervously ask
She looked around for a split second
"I don't see why not" she laughed
"Thanks Sarah" I smile
"Not a problem, see you soon!" She waves
I smile as she walked off. Once she was gone, I scrambled to find Kade.
I finally found him sitting against a locker on his phone
"KADE" I screamed as I stopped in front of him to catch my breath
"Woah man, are you alright?" He asked placing a hand on my shoulder
"Sarah invited me to a party! What am I supposed to do??" I frantically ask
"Go to the party?" Kade jokes
"Kade now is not the time for this!" I said becoming impatient
"Alright man, relax! Take a deep breath"
I did as he said and looked back at him
"You're going to that party, and you're going to please her. Dress nice, smell nice, be nice. Got it?" He said looking me in the eye
"Got it" I finally agreed
"Alright" he said beginning to walk away
"Wait!"
He turned around
"Will you come too?" I asked
He looked at me for a while
"Please?" I asked
"You thought I was gonna let you do this alone?" He said putting his arm around me
"Thanks man" I smiled at him
"My pleasure" he said walking away
