The same screeching sound that was heard before rang through the air. Mayu quickly stood up. "There is only one. Let me handle this. Hide." A creature flew down and landed on the ground, just after Doku and Niomi managed to find a place to get down and hide. The demon just stood and watched Mayu, both not saying a word or making a noise. Then Mayu put her hand in the air, a blue glow surrounding it, and started chanting. A lightning bolt came out of the sky and struck the demon, killing it. Mayu said ,"Come on out, now. It's ok. I killed it." When Doku came out, he had another question. "Mayu? Why were you just staring at it? Why didn't it even try to resist you killing it?" "I'm not sure. I do not know a lot about how these creature think, but they do.
Doku is beginning to think that Mayu is not all that she says she is. Doku thinks they need to find more Protectors, and fast.
