Chapter 3: Turning Point

Sky: hey guys!

Reaper: hm?

Leon: what?

Flower: nani?

Sky: I got a poem here. You guys might wanna read it.

Everyone: sure!

Sky: Ehem. Ehem. The title is, The Furthest Distance of the World. So I'll start... The furthest distance in the world is not the distance between the opposite sides of the world, it is that you don't know that I love you, when I stand in front of you. The--

Reaper: Sky no!

Leon: grab the duct tape! Now!

Flower: ahhh not again!

Alisha: hey guys..... Give. Me. The. Knife!

As soon as Sky said those words, a sudden wave of information entered his head as he sat there in daze for a whole minute, digesting the information.

"One of the Holy Sins, the Sin of Gluttony. So, this book is the legendary Grimoire of Gluttony?!" Sky exclaimed in shock as he examined the grimoire once again. The once old and dilipated look of the book, now transformed into a new look. Colored by a violet hue, it is surrounded by a gold and emerald linings on it's sides. It now gives the aura of nobility and royalty. Under that aura though is a feeling of a bottemless chasm. As if  it cannot be satiated.

After examing it closely, Sky gulped as what he was holding is a legendary grimoire, not an ordinary one. Suddenly Sky remembered that every grimoire has it's own Guardian creature or beast.

"I wonder what is the guardian beast of this grimoire?" Sky muttured as he opened the book full of anticipation and excitment. There was a saying, the more you expect something, the more disapppointment you'd get, and that is what is happening right now to Sky.

He didn't even got the chance to be happy when reality slapped his face real hard. What he expected is a badass beast. But on contrary, he got the opposite.

Looking at this beast, Sky had the impulse of throwing the book out the window. Because what he saw is a slime. Yes, the most commonest and weakest beast, well you cannot actually incorporate it with the word beast. It's much more appropriate to call it a pet instead of beast.

Just as Sky was about to give up on his life. He subconsiously looked at the slime's name and it's description and skills. That was when Sky got dumbfounded because of a slime. Because of this.

Name: Beezlebub [Title not yet unlocked]

Grade: Legendary

Creature: Slime King

Description: The Symbol of Godly Sin Gluttony, Beezlebub. Used to be ranked equally to Godly Sin Greed, but for some unknown reason, Beezlebub suddenly disappeared from the ranks of the Seven Godly Sins. Beezlebub is one of most terrifying Sin, as it eat and digest anything. That isn't the most terrifying part, it is the ability of Beezlebub to actually copy what it digested and use it permanently, yes, Permanently. Skill, image, anything it can copy. Not like Greed who can only steal it, but in a weaker version. While Gluttony can copy it perfectly. It can even complete a incomplete skill. The downside is, you have to literally consume the person, skill, or thing in order to digest and copy/learn it.

Skills:

[Consume][Digest/Absorb][Copy/Learn][Regeneration][Though Process × 10]

[Copy] Copies enemies abilities and the person itself can be copied.

[Regeneration] Regenerate any kind of wound, including regrowing missing limbs.

[Thought Process] A skill that fastens a person or creatures mind, capable of solving problems at the speed faster than human capacity.

"*gulps* is this really just a beast? This is too much..." Sky said as he keep on reading wether what the description said is true or not.

After looking at it for like a hundred so times, Sky gently let out a breath.

"There's only one way to find out. Let's summon it." Sky said as he composed himself and took a deep breath as he place his right palm in front of him.

"Grimoire summoning, Beezlebub!" Sky let out a shout as a emerald magic circle appear out of thin air in front of him. In the middle of the circle, magic energies are gathering and shaping out a outline of a slime. At first Sky expected it to be somewhat different from other slimes, but he was wrong, very wrong. In fact, the slime look very normal, as if it's not once part of the Seven Godly Sins.

Well, normal except for it's eyes and sligthly smaller build. It's eyes shone golden hue, while it somehow contains wisp of intelligence. Of course never judge a book by it's cover. Like this slime, it may look cute one way or another. But this slime in particular is a wolf in a sheep's clothing.

Seing Beezlebub, the slime. Sky swore to the heavens that on this day forward, he will never be the same useless person he was from the past.
But first, he thought on how to make Beezlebub more powerful than he is right now.

As he was thinking on how to make Beezlebub powerful without taking too big risks, he suddenly remembered that a summoner can inherit all of his guardian beast's skills. Just thinking about the skills Thought Process, Regeneration, and Copy, made his blood boil in excitement.

"Alright! Grimoire Skill Transfer, Activate!" He said in a excited tone as he waited for the skills to transfer to him. Just before he thought he will have the skills already, a bunch of words suddenly appeared on top of the grimoire.

"Skill transfer on: time remaining for complete transfer and assimilation... 29 days, 23 hours, 59 seconds remaining..." Just as his excitement is reaching it's pinnacle, these set of words was like a cold bucket of water that was poured on him. Sure enough his excitement calmed down as he took a deap breath. Then Sky smacked his own forehead for being too rash.

"Ugh, I forgot about this part. Well, you can't blame me as this might be the only thing that can be my turning point in life. Alright, let's continue with our routine for now. Just to avoid suspicions." Sky let out a sigh as he looked at the grimoire of gluttony with much anticipation as he waits for the day he will be reborn as a new person. A summoner at that.

Somewhere faraway from Eternity City. In a barren wasteland in the south, here lies a very huge canyon. This canyon has been here ever since the creation of Herasia, no one knows how deep and how humungous the range of this canyon. Some of the powerful summoners tried to unveil some of it's mysteries, daring to enter, but never to come back.

This canyon is one of the most dangerous lands in the whole continent of Herasia. Being a place where legendary summoners and beasts entered but never to come back, the whole world called as The Canyon of No Return. Yet, never did the whole Herasia know. That a great supreme being is about to awaken in the depths of this canyon.

As of right now, little to no one cares about this great canyon. Ignorant of what kind of calamity that will soon descend. But that is for another tine to tell. Right now, in a village nearby the outskirts of the canyon. A young girl, about the age of 10 is currently gazing at the starry night sky.

The girl's hair is aquamarine, reaching down to her waists. Looking at the sky as she held her chubby little cheeks with both of her hands. Eye's black as the night sky, as she curiously counts the shining stars. Yet, it contain a hint of slyness and mischief. Delicate white skin as well as a countenance beautiful to the point you may think of her as a goddess.

After gazing at the skies for awhile, she pulled out a ancient looking book from her bag. Gazing at it like some sort of treasure, she gently blew the dust covered book as it reveal three words...

"Sin Of Lust..."
