At the cafeteria he meets his colleague vishaka
"hey vish what happened you look all gloomy" mahir says
"Nothing" says vishaka

Vish was going through a serious phase in life she broke up with her boyfriend and she was unable to concentrate at work so her boss scolded her
Maahir was very concerned as vishaka was his childhood friend and coworker. He cared a lot for her and was always there for her. Maahir hated love as he thought of love as only a hindrance for his career and friendship with vishaka.
So did vishaka. But instead of hating love she spread it. Apart from her job as a manager at the radio station she was also a volunteer at many cancer foundations and orphanages . She loved caring for others . Maahir on the other hand lacked love . He might seem bubbly and energetic on the outside but is yearning for someone to care for him . Through this maahir started thinking that there is no one for him and started hating love
Back at the office...
"What is it vishaka you look so dull and what could possibly make vishaka khanna dull she is the most energetic person i have seen after my mom", Maahir exclaimed.
"Its just that shaan and i broke up and even though it was mutual it was very sad to see him move on so quickly" Vishaka said.
Mahir said that it is time for vishaka to move on too and she better move on or else who would bully him

Anyway is maya here today she was supposed to interview a ngo volunteer today shes coming to give a talk and an interview on caring for the needy
