Summary: Jake comes back from the Greta Van Fleet tour and all he wants to do is hold you in his arms and never leave your warmth again (cheesy? yes. Fluffy? Also yes.)

There was such thing as love, the one you watched about in Disney movies, the one you read about in books and the one you heard on the radio. Through the years, this kind of idea of your perfect soulmate changed. It was either settling for less than you deserve, or waiting for who knows how long and maybe find him. Well let's just say, thank god you didn't settle.

You called yourself lucky, lucky you were there at the right time at the right bar and especially, lucky you looked over when you did.

You were hanging out with your best friend at a bar in Michigan trying to stay away from your daily troubles and just talk the night out with the little help of a blond beer, you had just turned legal age to drink in the States and were quite happy you could do finally lay back and enjoy life as a (gag) adult. You didn't drink all that much, but just enough to let lose a little bit.

"You know, you need someone else to talk to about your days. Not that I don't like hearing about how that girl from work gave you a weird glance today, at all, I love your little stories, but you need someone else than me, come on babe, at least for just when I'm not available" your best friend looks at you with puppy eyes.

It's true, you did need someone else than friends. Someone you can talk to about your past with freely. Someone that doesn't make it awkward when you just lay in bed together without a thought in mind. Someone to give you that confidence and brings you on adventures like you once did back when you still wore pigtails.

"Ya I know I need a boyfriend, I just don't think that I want to settle for anyone really. It's hard for me to connect to someone that deeply, you know that" you give your friend a slight smile looking down at your drink.

It was then that the bar manager tapped the mic on the small rusted stage they had in the corner. He coughed a little, he obviously wasn't comfortable doing this in front of people.

"Tonight we have a little show cooking for you all, here's ehm-" he looks down at his hand having scribbled the band's name on it "Greta Van Fleet?" he looks behind at the now open door for confirmation "Yea give it up for Greta Van Fleet everyone" he claps his hands awkwardly and quickly hurries up to get off stage and give space for the band members.

You turn yourself fully and look at the stage forward. You see a couple young guys hop on stage, they all seemed pretty comfortable with their instruments, you didn't quite know what to expect from them, but seeing from the guitarist's Jimi Hendrix shirt you could tell it was gonna be your style.

They start playing, and it hits you right in the chest, a loud strum on the guitar turns into a confidence burst on stage. All members give their heart outs and you are blown out of your mind, forgetting about anything else around. You smile without noticing and bob your feet to the beat. They were really good, and when you say that, it isn't for the light of heart.

You looked at each of them on stage, loving their movements, the singer gives his best eye contact with the crowd as he can, and your eyes gleam over the guitarist once again, but more towards his features this time.

And that's when all the stuff from Disney, the romantic books you read in high school and the lyrics you heard for the past 21 years made sense. His hair whipped to the music, slightly sticking to his forehead with sweat, he bite his lip as he concentrated on his chords and he closed his eyes at his favorite moments come on. He sings along to the lyrics without notice and is obviously having the time of his life.
