Tyanna held her breath as he lead her through the sewage system of the castle. Tyanna had no idea where he was taking her or what he was planning for this escape, but all she could do now was trust him.
"My father had me build these tunnels. He thought managing the sewage beneath our home was just right for me. So I had these tunnels put in without his knowing."
"Why would you do somethikng like that?"
Tyanna questioned as she climbed along with him over the sludge. She gagged a little causing Tyrion to stop and glance at her over his shoulder to make sure she was okay.
"A man has his needs."
He said giving a shrug. Tyanna understood and rolled her eyes as they carried on.
"Why are you helping me? What am I to you but a Bastard?"
"You're more than that."
He quickly corrected. She arched a brow. The torch he carried along with him was flickering as they went. Tyrion sighed keeping his eyes forward.
"You're my child. Bastard or no. And I will do what it takes to protect you."
"But if your father finds out you've helped me -- "
"Oh yes he'll be angry no doubt. Even go so far as to send out a search party for you more than likely. But you must head North."
"North?"
She questioned. Tyrion nodded as he came to a doorway. He stopped and turned to look at her.
"Find work in House Stark. They're good people. They'll keep you safe."
"House Stark? That's months from here on foot!"
"Yes but it's your best chance if you make it. Better than staying here and marrying my father that's for sure."
Tyrion said opening the door which lead to what seemed like the outside. Tyanna squinted and groaned. The light was a warm welcome.
"The sea?"
She questioned looking at the waves crashing against the bars. Tyrion walked forward and pushed open what seemed like iron bars, but turned out to be a door. Tyrion had a bit of trouble pushing it open so that's when Tyanna stepped up and helped.
With both of them together they opened the door. Tyanna took a moment and looked out at the sea. The salt in the air was crisp. Her lungs welcomed it.
"Head North. Take this gold. Don't come back."
Tyrion said as he handed Tyanna a small pouch of coin. She looked at it for a moment before handing it back to him. He looked up at her shocked.
"What are you doing? Take the gold."
"I know how to hunt. I'll sell pelts along the way."
She said causing Tyrion to look at her as if she were insane.
"I came here for honest work. Fishing. Not a hand out from a family that I've never known. There's a reason my mother named me Tyanna, Tyrion."
"I can see. But humor me and take it. So that I know you'll be alright."
He said holding out the gold for her to take. She just looked at it before she kneeled down before him. She surprised him with a kiss on the forehead.
"Goodbye Tyrion."
She said as she stood back up and turned toward a rock.
"Tyanna!"
Tyrion called out as she started to move away from him. She glanced over her shoulder seeing her father watching as she moved away from him.
Never forgetting his kindness.
