She was on the phone with the Dean of the Maryland School of Arts.
“Miss Khan, you’ve been clearly triumphant in the talent competition recently.”
“That’s right”, she answered.
“Hmm, well, you wouldn’t need an audition for an admission in our institute. What I am offering is 65% scholarship with a promise of a record deal later. You’ll have to come up here next week for confirmation with your parents. You start here a month later. Hello? Miss Khan?”
But Ayesha wasn’t listening. She just put her hand on the speaker and screamed her heart out.
This was too good to be true.

Her family had gathered around the television. She, however, was in the locker room. As soon as the signal came, she ran into the stadium with eleven of her finest women. She listened to the cheers, and sighed contently. The girls had defeated the eternal rival and had emerged victorious from the arena. The biggest foe- fear, had, to some extent, eventually seized to exist.
