Ayesha

Ayesha sat in the bleachers, watching the scene keenly. All of the players were following the ball. She could clearly observe Alina’s determination, she just wasn’t afraid. Resultantly, she could easily overthrow any obstacle in her path. Ayesha saw Alina running expertly with her full energy. That moment, Ayesha realized something. She didn’t know the sport, but could see that Alina didn’t use any foundational or typical tackle moves. She made up her own moves to take the other player with surprise.

Ayesha saw Alina reach for the ball. She intervened her foot and did a move oppositely. The player stood frozen, unable to comprehend this unprecedented move. She smiled, and ran towards the goal. Ayesha, too, smiled. Me likey, she thought. She was admiring Alina for her fearlessness, and was extremely grateful as she had forced her to open up to her parents.

Meanwhile, John came in Alina’s way in the ground. He stood there like a solid wall, determined to stop Alina. Ayesha gasped, what is she gonna do now?

Alina

Alina’s mind raced. She was paralyzed for a second, and sweat trickled down her back. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and looked John in the eye.

I cant lose. I wont lose, she promised herself.

She ran towards him, kicked the ball as it went, through his legs, towards the goal. Now, she had to pass herself around John.

Wait, Alina thought, what if i do something completely different?

The crowd was mesmerized, everybody thinking, what will she do now? To everyone's surprise, she did a totally lunatic thing.

What? She  ran, and did an excellent front flip all over him .

The entire crowd gasped, and, to her surprise, she was a little bit shocked herself. She swayed in air, and then, landed firm on her boots. That moment, the crowd roared. John’s jaw simply hit the ground, and he turned, wide-eyed. She took the ball.

Before winking at John.

She kicked. The goal keeper was too stunned due to her stunt, consequently, the football went straight  through the goal. The bleachers almost erupted, and Alina, enriched with all her chutz pah, stood erect in the daylight.
