Ayesha
She finished voraciously working on her twelfth song and almost hundredth tune. If only she could tell anyone without paralyzing or transforming into a nervous wreck, just let go of the plethora of emotions huddled up inside her and be who she really was. She wondered the awesomeness of this kind of life, and the fact that she couldn’t afford it, or if she could, she just didn’t have the courage to attain it. But, little did she know that the person who had the ability to eventually liberate her from that agony was soon to arrive.
Alina
She stood at the appointed place, i.e Gavin’s house. Whatever the case, she just couldn’t ignore the opulent mansion and equally magnificent ground. He finally saw him approach.
“Hey there!”, he greeted.
“Hi”, she replied. “Umm, your words sure put me on my mettle. What can I show you?”
He smiled. She tried to avoid feeling dreamy.
“Nothing, you just tackle the ball from me”, he replied, and she chuckled.
“Do I look like a five year old to you? Seriously?”, she said.
“Well, you aren’t, right? Prove it,” he challenged. She gave him an another ‘you-must-be-kidding-me’ look, and started tackling. She easily did that and, to his surprise, goaled past him.
“Of course you know I was just being easy on you, right?”, he said. She just rolled her eyes, and plainly replied, “Can we call your pals and settle this like grown-ups? Hmm?”
“Oh, yeah, sure”, he replied. It was his first moment of awkwardness, and he didn’t know that girls could make him sweat that way. Some two hours later, a football match had just ended and Gavin’s team had won 5-1 goals, 3 of which Alina had scored.
The little crowd was going like, “ALINA! ALINA! ALINA!”
“Oh boy, you sure know how to play!”, Gavin expressed.
“Excuse me?”, a man called Alina over.
“Yes?”, she asked. Then she recognized him. “Coach Green?”
“That’s right!”, he replied.
After 30 minutes, Alina felt dizzy. She could have a career in this, but she had to take a risk. She had to make a women football team and try to change the whole system, but could she succeed? Would the authorities ever agree? And, more importantly, would there be a team for the authorities to reject? She had no idea if she could make a team from her school as Coach Green wanted her to. The idea was unprecedented, but, she did know that Coach had trusted her, and she would certainly not abstain from trying to make her only dream transform into reality.
