Elliott's POV
It's early and I can't get back to sleep so decided just to head downstairs and get breakfast.
As I approach the kitchen I can hear someone moving around and singing quietly. I quickly realise that it's (y/n) and hang back to admire her, even though I know I shouldn't. The way she bounces around with such confidence, cooking yet another one of her seemingly endless list of skills, makes me weak. And as if that wasn't enough she's dressed in a t-shirt and shorts that show off her legs perfectly. I really have no idea what to do with myself as I stand there.
Eventually my feet take over and guide me into the kitchen. She doesn't even notice until I force a cough as I lean on the edge of the centre island.
She jumps and turns around, "Oh Elliott! Hey!"
"Hey," I mumble sleepily.
"What has you up this early?" she asks, turning her attention back to the task at hand.
"Can't get back to sleep."
"Ah, that's a pain."
"What about you?"
"Lannan's going to visit his family for the day so I thought I'd make him breakfast, because I know he won't have anything proper if it's up to him to make it."
I can't help but smile at how thoughtful she is, even if it hurts that it's not me she's doing it for, "You're so good to him."
She shrugs her shoulders but I can just see the wide smile she's trying to hide, "I try."
"It smells amazing too."
"Oh it's just omelettes..." she brushes off as always before turning to ask with a bright smile, "Do you want one?"
"Oh no, I couldn't ask you to do that!"
"Tough," she grins, "I insist."
"Nooo," I object.
She walks around the island saying, "nope, nope nope."
She takes my hands in hers and walks me backwards, "Honestly..." I try to bargain.
I keep stepping back until the back of my legs hit the bar stool, she pushes me to sit on it, "No Elliott, I insist," she says, punctuating it by shaking my hands firmly before letting go.
"What did we do to deserve you?" I mumble.
She reaches up to run her fingers through my fringe, "Oh I don't know, just like welcome me into your friend group, give me a job," as she continues her thumb trails down the side of my face, "give me a home, and not just any home, one worth millions of dollars..." she holds my face in her hand, "You've done so much for me Elliott..." She lingers for a second, staring deep into each other's eyes.
I've never wanted to kiss her as much as I do right now.
"An omelette is the least I can do," she finishes, returning to the stove, "What do you want in it?"
It takes all my strength not to stare at her legs and butt the whole time she's cooking, although I can't deny that I sneaked in a few glances. She plates her creation up and slides it across the counter to me.
"Thank you so much," I sigh with a warm smile.
"You're welcome!"
We chat as she cooks for herself and Lannan.
"Are you going with him today?"
"Nah. I've got a few things to get on with and I'd feel bad, Lannan sees me all the time but he doesn't get to see his family much anymore."
"Ah okay."
"Are you recording today?"
"Maybe, I think I'll see if anyone wants to make a video with me."
"Yeah! Benefits of having the house right!?"
"Exactly! Don't know about after that though, I've got no plans this evening," I think out loud.
"Aw me neither, we should hang out tonight! I feel like we never do anything just you and me."
I keep my eyes trained on the plate in front of me, terrified that even looking at her might give away my secret.
"Yeah we can do something together," I reply with a smile.
"Amazing!" she says as she turns back to the food that's cooking, "Well I'd better take this up to Lannan, I'll see you later!"
"Okay, thanks again (y/n)."
"Any time," she says with a genuine smile.
