Alzheimer's is a progressive disease. It affects both short and long term memory and can't truly be diagnosed until after you have passed. It's also genetic and affects 10% of people. Alzheimer's is one disease under the dementia umbrella, but like all others it is deadly. It makes it so over time you can't even complete the simplest of tasks. It affects mainly people over 65 years old, but a few people have early onset Alzheimer's and get it at 50. Find something near you and please support the cause. Also if you want to know more ask me, research it online, or watch the movie 'Still Alice.'
