It was around 4 AM in the morning.
Colby was up editing some of his most recent videos, that was planned to be fully published to YouTube somewhere around 12 in the afternoon. He was growing extremely tired, but refused to let his sore fingers stop sliding across his laptop's keyboard. Sam, Corey, Aaron and Jake was asleep - so the whole building was completely quiet. The moonlight was ominously shining in through his bedroom window, making him noticeable in the pitch dark room ever so slightly. He listened through the audios over and over again, and it was at a part where Sam was speaking. Colby caught himself smiling over the way Sam got flustered in the scene, and kind of shook his head to get his mind back into the gutter. His cheeks now rosy red.

Halfway through, he felt how his mouth was getting dry. His mind was automatically thinking of drinking some water, but he had a fear that he was really scared of sharing to his fans - or his roommates. Whenever it's dark - it's harder for Colby to get up and walk out of his room. He has a huge fear of the dark, and it didn't help that he was - in fact - sitting in his own dark room all alone with a brightly shining laptop in his lap. The light from the laptop's screen did help a whole lot, but he was still too scared to get up.

"Dang it.." Colby whispers under his breath.
The bathroom is literally right next to his own room - but before that it's a creepy corridor facing him immediately. However, if he didn't drink something it was going to bother him all the time. He had to just do it. Try to not think too much about what could happen. But he ended up not daring to do it. He focused a bit more on the editing of his videos, when he heard a door open up.

It was Sam's door.

He could then hear quiet and lazy footsteps walk towards the bathroom, and the moment he knew it was Sam going to the toilet in the middle of the night - he put his laptop down next to him and slowly made his way to his bedroom door. He slowly opens the door to his bedroom and tried to not think too much of the darkness facing him. Instead, he lightly knocks onto the bathroom door.

"Mhn?" Sam tiredly lets out. Colby smiles, extremely relieved that it was Sam and not his crazy hallucinations he get when he scares himself up too much. Colby leans his forehead against the door and starts speaking to Sam from the other side of the door.

"I need to drink som water" Colby says gently, blushing in slight embarrassment.
Sam let's out a small chuckle from the other side of the door.

"Why didn't you just go downstairs for that?" Sam asks, curiously.
Colby bit his lip embarrassingly, and wanted to tell Sam why. He just didn't dare to say it. No matter how hard he tried, the right words wouldn't come through. Colby just ended up letting out an awkward chuckle, and after a short while - the bathroom door's handle went down and they were now facing each other. Sam smiles tiredly, and Colby returns the smile tiredly.

"Have you been up until now?" Sam suddenly asked.
Colby looks at him, wondering how he knew. Colby nodded slowly, yawning so much that the corner's of his eyes started to tear up. Sam's expression turned almost concerned for the boy in front of him.

"Editing?"
"Yeah"

Sam let's out a small, compassionate nod, and then moves out of the way to let Colby drink some water. Sam was about to enter his room again, when he stops in his tracks a little bit and almost refused to go back into his own room.
For some reason, his thoughts were only on Colby right now.

"Why didn't you go in here earlier then?" Sam asked suddenly.
Colby stopped drinking a little, and stood up straight so he could talk properly. Wiping his wet mouth with a towel before speaking.
"It.. appeared the moment I heard you enter" Colby excused mildly.
Somehow Sam wouldn't believe what Colby said, and instead faced him completely. Colby drank a little bit more - then stopped when he realized Sam was still staring at him. Colby smiles a little, then starts walking towards his room awkwardly - whispering a small 'goodnight' as he passed the blonde. However the blonde followed Colby.
