Siobhán looked to her left. She saw children crying, clinging on to their mothers in sheer terror of their surroundings. Their mothers were just as terrified. Lucky for them Siobhán had suspected their arrival. They were lured in. You may say they had no control of their thoughts, their movements or anything for that matter.
Siobhán was immune from the Trophflow mind control. She didn't know why. You would have thought a young women would be scared out of her mind, that someone actually had the power to control people. That a dragon had control over the human race. But no, she knew of extra abililites that people possess. She for one has control over the Elements.
She had created a large barrior, not allowing the women and their children across the high, moudly mud barrior. Or else they would have been dead by now.
Siobhán looked to her right. She saw men raising their swords, attempting to slash through the Troplets. They were very ugly indeed. They stood ten feet high from the ground. Their whole bodies made from rock, held together by mud. She had never seen such a sight before.
She saw man after man getting killed. She bent down taking out a tiny stick out of her shoe. She rose to her feet. Anger. Floods of anger ran through her veins.
She pointed the thin stick at the Troplets and yelled, "PAUSE." She honestly didn't expect that to work, but she gave it a go since they are part of the elements. She saw immediate reaction. They were like frozen statues, awaiting her command.
I woke up with a fright. Apparently my mam was trying to wake me up for ages. I was tossing and turning in my sleep. The covers of my bed were sprawled out on the floor. The first day of school. The only day that I would willingly get up for it. The excitement of seeing your friends for five days a week. But the dread of the essays you were suppose to complete over the summer. I decided to keep my thoughts on the positive rather than the negative.
I got dressed and cruised down the stairs into the kitchen. "G'morning!" Mam said enthusiastically. I know she is usually happy in the mornings. Actually, any time of day but she's extremely happy this morning. Why? "Morning." I mumbled. I sat down on the stool next to the counter.
"Remember to make a good impression. At least try to make new friends. I know you'll miss Hannah and them lot." Mam said. I dropped my spoon into my cereal causing it to backlash onto my face. "What are you on about?" I asked, my voice was high from surprise.
Mam had then gone red in the face. She put down her newspaper and took a big gulp of air. "George! Get down here right now!" She hollered. I was completely confused. I decided to let it play out. A few moments later he sleepily entered the room and looked at Mam expectantly.
"Yes Martha?" He asked after another few moments of silence. "You did not tell her. You said you would tell her." Mam whispered fiercely. He had a puzzled look on his face. He looked at me and what ever they were talking about finally clicked in his head.
"Now Martha, you said you would tell her!" He exclaimed looking back and forth between Mam and I. I was growing impatient at this point. My face was covered in milk making my hair a bit sticky. They had been keeping secrets from me.
"Stop bickering. Tell me now then." I stated as calmly. My face may seem calm but my head was in a frenzy. I kept thinking up some possibilities like one of them cheating, another baby someone is sick. My stomach was doing flips.
