Never understimate a girl's love for her favourite band. Never think for a second that she won't defend them to her death. Just because it's not just the music that makes the band her favourite. It's the guys, the gals, the fans. People whom of which she has interacted with thanks for the band. That Band might have saved her life, or 'just' made her smile every day.
