Being a girl with many chronic mental illnesses, like depression, anxiety, PTSD, anorexia, I had mastered the art of hiding it from the world. I had put up a wall so high that I have always been the 'unreachable' even in high school. I never let anyone into my heart because I had trust issues and thought every living breathing soul that approached me has some ulterior motive.
As a young girl all I dreamt of was a 'happily ever after', but as time passed I realized that, to a person who has suffered since the day she was born, a happily ever after will always be a dream. It is often said that every dark cloud has a silver line. Well, I guess my silver lining was my neighbor-slash-best friend-slash-brother from another mother. He was the only person I knew, who helped me without expecting something in return. He was always there by my side like my guardian angel whenever I was about to lose my sanity or end my life. He was there for me through thick and thin, he's the only reason I'm still alive. The only reason why I believe in humanity. His name is Adam Henderson.
This is my story. A story of a girl who thought she had her life together only to be hit by the cruel realization that she has been lying to herself and putting up a facade to get through every trauma she has gone through in her life. A girl who was once an orphan, then a loving daughter and sister, then a sex-slave, then a prisoner in her own house and finally an inhuman business tycoon and finally the CEO of the most famous multinational technology company 'Genesis'. Hailey Hernandez was a name hated by most businessmen and women, in the technology firm, and was, unfortunately, my name.
