I walked through the station with Gavin, Amanda having told me to get to know the detective better. I look at him and say, "Detective Reed, can I ask you a question?" He glares at me, but says, "Go right ahead toaster. Not like you wouldn't do it anyway."

"How did you get those scars?" I say calmly. He stops walking, and I stop as well. "Bar fights mostly...  there was one case..." His voice trails off for a moment, and I just look at him calmly. "That doesn't matter. Let me ask you something tin can," he says sharply, "why the hell did they give you such a dumb coat?" I blink, and say, "Honestly detective, I'm not sure."

He smiles at Nines, laughing a little. Gavin thinks about this damn tin can too much. Since he ended up with him as a partner, he hasn't been able to get him out of his head. The android's blue eyes and brown hair were embedded into his mind, and his voice was right there with it. The android's voice was smooth, and mostly calm or gentle, but sometimes he can be intimidating, his voice deepening, a small growl in it.

I look at the detective, noticing how his heart rate has accelerated. "Detective Reed, is something wrong? Your heart rate has accelerated." His face turns a light red. "Shut up tin can. Besides, we have work to do." He starts walking again, and I just follow him.

Gavin forgot that the android could scan him any time he really wanted to, and it might just fuck things up in the end, but he was, for the most part, okay with that. Besides, there's no way that almost six foot tall android would deviate. At least, not any time soon...
