Staring in awe the girl smiled a closed-eyed smile at Chise before turning to gaze up at Elias.

"Shalltear, it's been a very long time." Elias greeting the young blue silver-haired girl gazing down at her with an attempt of a smile.

"It's has been, I had begun to think you had forgotten all about your old friend," Shalltear said with a teasing voice as she smiled up at him placing her hands behind her back.

" I could never forget about you, Shalltear," Elias spoke honestly to his old friend who had been the one to find him in his darkest moments, held out her hand to him and showed him the beauty in the winter forest. Smiling at him brightly her eyes drifted over to Chise with a soft smile.

"This is Chise-"

"Your bride?" Shalltear questioned with a small giggle. "Unfortunately, Oberon makes it a habit to come to visit or bother me with gossip. He told me quite a bit about you and your bride." Shalltear explained with a small shake of her head turning to Chise as she grasped her hand between her own.

"It's very nice to meet you Chise. Thank you for putting up with Elias, he can be a handful sometimes." Shalltear said with a teasing laugh making Elias sweatdrop at her words.

"Shalltear, I'm not a child," Elias argued to Shalltear while she only giggled with a shake of her head.

"Whatever you say."

"What was so urgent you need my help for?" Elias questioned her watching as her once cheerful face changed becoming more serious as she frowned slightly.

"Some of the youngest children disappeared through a portal. I wouldn't be as worried if it was one of the older children but these have yet to know the dangers outside this forest. Because they haven't gone through their first ice blooming they're more vulnerable." Shalltear said with a worried expression as the blue light sitting on her shoulder purred at her comfortingly as it rubbed itself on her cheek.

"What's the ice blooming?" Chise asked making Shalltear turn to her with a small smile.

"It's a ceremony that happens once every year. Today's the ice blooming so the children have to be returned before then." Shalltear said seriously turning back to Elias.

"I can reopen the portal they went through with the help of the other children but I'm afraid it won't be such a safe idea to go alone to that place," Shalltear said with a hidden smile while Chise and Ruth gazed at her confused, it was only Elias who instantly understood what she meant.

"Ah, I see." Elias coughed out while Shalltear smiled an all too bright smile making the two watching them feel even more confused. Before anything else could be said a small white butterfly flew over landing on Shalltear's shoulder, turning towards the small butterfly she smiled at it.

"So they've finished it," Shalltear said watching as the Butterfly flew up back into the air before flying off into a direction.

"Shall we?" Shalltear smiled gesturing towards the path the butterfly was guiding them through. Silently following the butterfly Chise gazed in front of her where a smiling Shalltear and Elias spoke softly to one another in front of her. Gazing at their interaction Chise couldn't help but notice how calm and relax Elias seemed in front of the silver-blue haired girl. Catching her staring Shalltear turned her head slightly towards her with a warm closed smile before turning back to Elias with a small giggle.

I wonder what she is exactly... Chise couldn't help but wonder as they stopped in front of a large frozen lake. Sitting in front was the large white wolf, smiling Shalltear walked up to the large beast planting a gentle hand on his soft furs. With a soft growling sound, the wolf closed its eyes bending its head down allowing Shalltear to run her finger through the fur between his ears.
