Panicked and terrified the wolf familiar rushed through the flaming village, his heart bursting with fear for the woman he had called master for centuries. Guilt that he was not able to run over in time. She herself had put him under a spell, trapping him in the forest long enough for her to carry out her plan. Rushing through the village his heart broke with pain and rage for the people who had done such a thing, and for those poor souls lost. His hear swelled with hope as he caught sight of the young child his master had taken in years ago. Her back turned to him but he could still see her body trembled as she cried. Her reddish hair dancing in the wind like flames as some strands of hair burned gold.
"Shalltear!" He cried out in relief knowing if she was alive his master had to be as well.
"This is my hell." He heard her muttered under her breath, upon hearing the sound of his voice she turned her head over her shoulder to glance at him. Her gold eyes welling with tears as a single tear fell down her cheek. Before anything else could be said his eyes widen in horror when a male appeared from nowhere. Racing forward with a sword made of ice Rakugetsu's eyes widen in horror as the attacker drove the sword straight through her chest. The attacker's snow-white hair glowed like fresh snow as his sapphire eyes met her golden eyes. Coughing out blood she gave him a strained smile cupping her blood coated hand on the side of his face.
"No!"Rakugetsu yelled out in rage before lunging forward turning into his large beast form in mid-air. His red eyes filling with rage as he jumped through the air to pounce on the girl's attacker before a large gust of frost wind threw him back slamming against the wood. Transforming back into his human form his eyes widen as the white-haired man began cracking like glowing ice, his hand forcing his sword deeper into her chest as he whispered a few Latin words before shattering completely. Letting out one last breath Shalltear feel back against the ground beneath her.
"Shalltear!" Rakugetsu yelled out in a panic rushing forward, as he reached forward to grab the sword it began crumbling into small pieces of ice before sealing themselves inside her chest where her heart what located. She let a loud groan in pain as the ice sealed itself deep within her, her once beautiful flaming hair turned white as her once warm skin turned ice cold. In astonishment, Rakugetsu could only watch over her transformation helplessly falling to his knees in front of her.
"Shalltear, I'm sorry." He cried out in guilt before feeling the presence of his master behind him. Turning in shock his eyes met his own master's sadden eyes. Her pale white hair flowing behind her in the wind as her green dress stood out against the burning flames. With a raise of her hand, a smoothing wind blew through the village extinguishing the flames. Leaving behind only the dark charcoal remains of a once bright village.
"Don't worry, she's not died Rakugetsu." His master said as she walked forward getting on her knees by Shalltears head. Reaching out her hand she hovered it over Shalltear's chest before pulling away with a deep frown.
"Master?"
"The fire and Ice are not born to coexist. This is a painful curse she must now bear." His master said with a sad expression on her face, staring down at the girl she had raised like a daughter.
"There's nothing we can do?" Rakugetsu asked his master before she turned to him with a small bittersweet smile.
" She will be your new master now."
...
Chise sweatdropped at the awkward silence that stood in front of her, Lindel sat on the ground all tied up with veins supplied by Elias while Shalltear sat on a bolder with her arms crossed. A silent frowning look on her face as she kept her eyes closed trying to control her anger. Rakugetsu sat on the grass by the lake in silence with a frown on his face.
