YN's Point Of View
The poltergeist grabbed me by the arms as it flew off, flinging doors open with it's ghostly aura. It went up several stairway before arriving at a pair of double doors. The poltergeist seemed to slow as the doors slowly creaked open.
"Come in..."
2nd Person POV
You shivered. Partially in fear, as well as the major drop in temperature that acc
You looked back at the poltergeist. It for some reason seemed somehow far more nervous than you.
It suddenly lurched forward, roughly threw you down to the ground on your stomach, and left.
The door swiftly shut with a loud creak.
"Ahuhuhu~ Now, what's a unarmed little mortal like you doing with a nerd like little Luigi in MY mansion?"
A loud voice that seemingly came from all directions bounced chaotically off the walls, making my ears hurt. You looked through the room that you had been brought to and saw a pale, ghostly visage. He was like a light in the dark but he the only thing that he lit up was himself. Or perhaps it would be better to liken his form as something that sucked all light out of the room so that the room was cloaked in darkness with the only thing that was visible was the King. The only thought you could muster was that that was rather dramatic, and that thought was funny enough to help you power through the fear.
The King was a huge boo, probably as big as the legendary boolossus, wearing a shiny gold crown that held a glistening magenta gem on top. You presumed he was the ominous King Boo that Luigi had before mentioned.
His, or what you presumed to be a 'he' since he had the title of King instead of Queen or Monarch, size towered above you intimidatingly, but you held together a straight face, as challenging as that proved to be in this situation.
"Do not try and hide your fear, mortal. I can sense it... Taste it even... It tastes.. Splendid."
Despite hearing this, you still kept a straight face knowing that a boo would always use fear to its' advantage. You mustered strength into your voice and you asked, "What do you want from me?"
"Now, now... Is that any way to speak to royalty?"
His voice was disturbingly calm despite how raspy it was.
You gulped and felt a lump of fear struggle down your throat.
"A-Answer my question," you mentally cursed yourself for stuttering in fear at a boo, you reminded yourself to address him with reform and so you begrudgingly ended the sentence with, "your majesty."
The formality left a bitter taste on my tongue.
"That's better. As for what I will do to you... You'll see very soon~."
As soon as he said that, you felt a sudden pain. The type of pain you would feel when being struck with a needle, except the feeling of the needle pricking you was all over your body and you couldn't move or spasm no matter how much you felt or thought you would. It felt as though You were being gripped in place from all sides. On top of it all, you felt like you were drowning but there was nothing in your lungs. You screamed but you could mot.
You opened up your eyes even though they felt like they had been open through that entire experience. You could breath again, you realised, and so you did so greedily, taking in gulps of airs until you felt light-headed. Terror once again washed over you as you realised that you were trapped in a portrait. When you looked outside the portrait you noticed that the room was now much brighter, and that you could now see your surrounding vicinity in the dark room.
"Hmm... I'm quite bored now. I'll just transform into my other form while I wait for Mario to come 'save' the two of you."
Magenta light flooded your sight, penetrating your vision and once again rendering you temporarily blinded.
As your eyes readjusted from the cascade of light, there stood a figure, regally clad. Or, well, floating. He wasn't standing, that's for sure. Which was why you knew immediately that this was King Boo, just in a more humanoid form.
He was dressed in indigo dress shoes, striped grey trousers, a collared white jacket with gold buttons, an indigo undershirt, a white ruffle tie with a magenta gemstone on it, and a round white pointed cape. On his head, sat his gold crown, same as it was in his boo form, with its large magenta gemstone situated in the middle of it.
"Like what you see, hm? Well, I'm sad to inform you of this, but it's bad manners to stare."
You face heated up and you quickly whipped your head away incase your cheeks had gone noticeably red. His had definitely underwent a drastic improvement, you'd say. It was still raspy, yes, but more in the way that a mobster boss might sound, from having to breath in smoke from explosives every so often or just having the occasional expensive cigar.
"You've gone awfully quiet. Hm... Hey, if you brought a camera with you, I would be happy to snap a picture of myself with it."
You cleared your throat and clenched your eyes before letting out a breath through your nose. "Why are you keeping us here, your majesty?"
"Simple. The two of you are bait to be used to lure Mario Once I have successfully lured and capture him, The Mushroom Kingdom will be completely defenseless! Then, it will belong to the boos!"
King Boo finished his explanation with a blood-curdling cackle. You shuddered in response, now understanding why Luigi was so fearful of this place.
You now feared for the future of the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario Brothers, as well as yourself. You would be lucky to make it out in one piece, it seemed.
