As I started walking away from Lou and El's house, I could hear hard footsteps as if someone was running.
Hoping it's not Harry, I slowly turn around to see Bella just a few steps away from me.
"Zoe.. Hey, are you okay?" Bella asked as I sat on a bench to my right.
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine." I replied but not sounding convincing at all.
"Look, I know what Harry said in there but it's not true." She said taking a seat next to me.
"Really? 'Cause it sure did sound one-hundred percent real." I said bitterly.
It was silent for a few seconds before Bella spoke, "He still does really love you. What he said was just out of frustration. He has never stopped loving you." Bella smiled sadly.
"He loves you now, not me, he's moved on." I sighed.
"He may love me, but he certainly loves you more. I can see it. He doesn't speak about you often, but when he does, he goes on forever. He loves talking about you. He likes sharing your memories and every time he mentions your name, his eyes light up."
"Well he has you now, and I don't want to ruin your relationship, because it's really cute." I smiled.
"Thank you, I appreciate it, I love him with all my heart." she said proudly. "Do you want to come back to our flat for a bit? I know you and your brother are staying quite far away in that orphanage, El told me."
"Yeah, that would be nice, thanks. Do the boys know I'm staying there?"
"Nope, she didn't think you'd want them to know."
I nodded and followed her back to hers and Harry's shared apartment. I guessed Harry wouldn't be back home for a while so it would be alright. I texted Lyndon, who was on his way back to the care home.
We sat down on the sofa with a blanket and a hot chocolate each, chocolate biscuits in front of us and the TV quietly playing in the background.
~HARRY POV~
"So, do you miss Harry? Do you still love him?" I heard Bella talking to someone as I walked quietly into my apartment.
I stayed silent, waiting to see who it was.
"Promise you won't say anything to him? Or hate me for it?"
Zoe. That was Zoe's voice.
"I promise."
"Yes," she took a deep sigh. "I do still love him, and I do miss him, a hell of a lot."
"Heartbreak sucks." Bella replied
She loves me. Zoe still loves me. She misses me. She just didn't want to ruin the relationship but I did exactly that.
And I miss her too. I miss her bubbly bouncy character, messing around with everything and always getting into trouble with security. Bella doesn't dare do that. I miss her singing softly while she did things, or playing with her hair, biting her lip, fiddling her fingers. I missed the taste of her lips. I miss calling her mine.
"Why are you staying in the orphanage, why not in an apartment?" Bella asked her.
So she's staying in the orphanage?
"It's my job, I work there and I get payed. It's easier just to live there. Plus a lot of things happened with my dad, so I have to stay safe and look out for myself." Zoe explained.
I took a few steps forward to try and hear better, but the door slammed shut behind me, making me jump.
"Er... I'll leave now. Thanks for everything Bella."
