"It says 'Camp Half-blood', dipshit. Can't you read?"
"Yes, but, It doesn't make sense," I hesitated. "Why does it say Camp Half-blood? What does it mean?"
"It's obvious! Your answer is in the name," Navi said.
I read the name again. "Half-blood... HALF-BLOOD!"
"Duh, ya dip!" Navi rolled her eyes.
"But, I still don't know what that even means!" I yelled at Navi, annoyed that she wasn't explaining.
She started walking while ignoring me and my questions.
"Can you just shut up for a minute? Your stuff'll be answered, just give it break already," said Navi, annoyed.
I barely noticed where we had walked to until Navi had abruptly stopped in front of a giant, sky blue house.
"Come on, newbie. Gotta get you introduced to the activities director," said Navi while walking up the stairs onto the porch. "Well, are you coming or not?"
I hurried up the stairs after her and in through the door. The inside was strange to say the least. It was full of goblets, windchimes, books, maps, vinyls, yellowed newspapers, rusted items, anything old or rustic, you name it, they had it. Everything was thrown into piles leaving a narrow path to walk through. I almost hit my head more than once from things hanging from the ceiling. It had an odd but comforting sort of feel, kind of like a library. We stopped when we got to a room that was more open than the hallway we went through. Stuff was still everywhere, just stuffed into the corners of the room. In the middle, there was a huge wooden desk and an unoccupied swivel chair behind it.
"Chiron, it's me, Navi. I've got a new half-blood!" Navi called out into the empty room. "That's odd, he's usually here......"
I heard a sudden creak from the floorboards and my eyes frantically darted around the room.
"Chiron's out at the moment, but i'm here," a voice grunted. I jumped at the sound and stared down at a short, plump man with thick, curly black hair and small, black, watery eyes. He had a bright cheetah print shirt and plain brown shorts. He heaved himself into the chair behind the desk with some difficulty and looked straight at me. He then, with a wave of his hand, made a Pepsi can appear seemingly out of thin air.
"Who's this?" he asked demandingly, his gave unwavering.
"This is a new half-blood i've found, sir," replied Navi.
"Do we know what he is yet?"
"Definitely a Minor, but i'm not sure who, sir."
"Hmph," he huffed, clearly not pleased with Navi's answer. "What's your name, half-blood?" he barked at me.
"Uh, um, Chip, it's Chip Days, uh, sir," I stuttered out while trying to keep eye contact with him.
"What kind of name is that?"
"I-I don't know, sir."
"Okay, Chip, i'm the camp director, Dionysus. Navi will show you around. I'll be out on the porch if you need me," and with that, he left Navi and me in the room alone again.
"His name is......Dionysus?" I asked Navi.
"Yes, if you were listening you wouldn't need to ask me that question. Now, let's move on, need to get you to the cabin's," Navi said and we quickly left the house.
I stumbled out after her. "Wait, like the greek god Dionysus? You-you can't actually be serious."
Navi sighed, "I was hoping that Chiron would've been able to explain this stuff to you, but since he's not here to explain this stuff to you, I'll just have to do it."
