During homeroom, I have a sudden epiphany. I'm going to give Bianca an earful. I've dealt with her bullshit for too long. I'm going to give her a piece of my mind. What's making me do this? I have no idea. But I'm glad that whatever it is is getting me to do this.

Thomas and I are in science first period and we're talking. Our teacher tells us to do some revision for an upcoming exam. Instead of revising the material for the exam, everyone is revising the latest gossip. Bailey and I are the latest gossip. I catch bits of people's conversations; some of them think we're dating, some think we slept together, and some people are just going totally crazy and out of the box with their theories.

"So, how's the boy situation?" Thomas asks.

"It's... confusing," I admit. "I don't know if giving Bailey another chance is going to get his hopes up. I like him. I really do but then there's Eddie. I also really like him. He hasn't done anything that's broken my trust yet."

"We're leaning towards Eddie more, are we?" Thomas nudges me.

"I don't know," I groan. "I'm not really leaning towards anyone at the moment. I'm too stuck in the middle. I need help."

"I know you need help, Marty," Thomas says, straight-faced. "You really should see a psychiatrist."

"Isn't Kate a psychiatrist?" I clamp a hand over my mouth. I probably shouldn't have said that. "Shit, Thomas. I'm so sorry, it just fell -"

"Calm down, woman," Thomas holds up a hand. "It's OK. I don't get triggered when I hear her name. We're good here."

"I'm still really-"

"We were talking about Eddie and Bailey?" Thomas gives me a look.

"Yes. We were," I say, frantically. "Um, Eddie... I don't know. Who are you rooting for?"

"What do you mean?" Thomas asks.

"I mean, who do you want me to end up with?" I blush.

"I'm not telling!" Thomas puts a hand over his heart, looking offended. "That will affect your decision. You're old enough to make decisions on your own. And this one's important."

"Ugh. OK, fine," I sigh. Seriously, it would have been so much easier if Thomas had just told me who he was rooting for. He knows me way too well; I would most likely choose the person he liked best out of the two.

"When I decide," I start, "how will I tell them? Like, do I just ask if they want to meet up or something?"

"Well," Thomas thinks for a bit. "I reckon, you could just ask if you could come over to the person's house that you're rejecting because I'd assume they'd want to me in the comfort of their home when they get rejected. And I think that you should tell the person that you... choose, I guess, that you want to meet up. I think you should take them to a significant place like where you had your first date, maybe."

"That's a really good idea," I nod. "I think I'll do that."

With Bailey, I could go... to his house? I remember studying for our Life Skills assignment there. We had our not-really-first-kiss at Newt's house but I can't go there with him. We went to KFC for our first date. I can't go there. Eddie might be working at that time. Where could I go with Eddie? I could go to KFC because we see each other there all the time. And we work there, so... but where was our first date? Oh, under that big tree in the park. That was where our first kiss was, too.
