Soon enough, Kankri came out of the bathroom. He made sure to freshen up and make sure there was no trace of his tearful sorrow left on him.
"Aye chief, vwhat the fuck happened to ya in there?" Cronus questioned, while laughing a bit. He smiled softly at the Ampora, before responding with a chuckle, "Er...I kind of fell down?"
"Really chief?" Cronus cocked a brow at the boy who wore a sweater,"Thought you'd be more careful than that!" Kankri shook his head at him. "The floor was a little slippery," he tried to excuse himself, "So...erm..I was never aware that you've never seriously dated a girl."
He relaxed right into the couch when he sat down beside Cronus. "Aight, yeah.Dating nevwer really happened vwith me after third grade to be honest," he admitted with a laugh. "Right, right." Kankri nodded. "I've never dated either. Dating is such a stupid concept anyway. It creates so much damn drama that isn't even necessary! This is why I resorted to becoming celibate."
Cronus rolled his eyes, shaking his head at him. "Jeeze Kanny, not evwen crushes?"
That's when Kankri felt himself stop breathing. His eyes darted right over to staring a hole into a wall. "No, no crushes at all. Why? Why even ask that Cronus? Crushes absolutely ruins the point of celibacy! You don't understand at all, not at all." Cronus could see that hint of red spread across Kankri's face, as well as how awkward he was acting. "Right, right. You liked me didn't ya?"
Immediately, the other boy straightened himself and coughed. "Wh-what? No-oh god Cronus please shut up." His face lit hot red, as he gulped in his breaths. "Ya said so yourself, chief." Cronus smugly grinned at Kankri, even though the boy wasn't even facing him anymore. "So~, do ya still lovwe me?" The head of the Vantas was soon turned to face Cronus, since said person had gently lifted his chin and gradually pulled it towards and upwards to look at him.
Out of being an entire train wreck at the moment, he mumbled out a reply that could not be even heard. "Sorry, vwhat vwas that?" Cronus' lips turned into a smirk. Kankri mumbled again, causing Cronus' eyes to roll. "Jeeze Kanny, I might as vwell be talking to my brother," he complained.
"Oh shut up! It's not like you've been in love with a guy since- I don't fucking know- forever?!" Shouted Kankri, who proceeded to go into a full on rant. "Do you understand, Cronus? You've always been the cutesy, nice and cool smart person. Why, why did you change? Why couldn't I be brave enough to even fucking talk to you! This is so damn ridiculous, considering you were always chasing after girls. Isn't it that? Girls girls girls girls and more fucking girls! I wish I was a damn girl because if I was, then maybe you'd actually notice me?! Oh for fuck's sake, who am I kidding? You'd never even look at me." Cried Kankri, who had managed to sob all of that out.
It felt good, but considering this situation? He might as well as stripped himself naked and had a huge signboard saying "I love you Cronus".
"Kanny...I had no idea-"
"Well now you do-get out! Fucking, leave!" He had interrupted Cronus before he could say anything else. Quickly, Cronus got up from his seat. The mixes of pity, sorrow and confusion was all coloured in his face, not knowing how to respond.
"Kankri-"
"Kankri WHAT Cronus? Just get out before you make this any harder!" Now, Kankri was standing, with tears dripping from his chin. Cronus' fingers clenched themselves into fists, as he stormed out of the door and closed it with a slam. Kankri slid back down onto the couch, hands covering his face as he wailed snd sobbed.
