My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 6

Zach P.O.V

I stood there staring at my best friend of 16 years while he glared at me. Finally he broke down and look defeated.

"You love her?

I didn't hesitate to say , "With my whole heart."

He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. "Goodluck with her, man. I swear, though, you break her heart, I'll break your face. This is my little sister. Don't you ever make her cry. Got it?"

I grabbed Kyle and hugged him hard. "I swear man, this is the best thing you've ever done for me. If I make her cry I'LL break my face. I love her, man. I'd do anything for her."

"Good," he said. "I always felt this day was coming. Now go get her, man."

I took off in the house and up the stairs to Em's bedroom. I found the door cracked open and through the crack I saw her by her desk. I crept inside and grabbed her from behind.

"AHHHH! Oh you scared me! Hey you're not dead!! What happened?!" She looked confused and she took my hand and pulled me to the bed.

I looked into her eyes and smiled. "Kyle gave me permission to date you. He said he's happy for us and he'll break my face if I ever cause you pain."

She took my face in her hands and kissed me hard. I was too stunned to kiss back and she pulled away slowly. A look of rejection washed over her.

"Oh no don't look at me like that!" I cried out. "I didn't mean to hurt you. You surprised me is all. I wasn't prepared for you to kiss me. It was nice though. So now that your brother has been taken care of, would you go on a date with me?"

Her eyes widened along with her smile. "I'd love to!!!"

"Good," I told her. "Now go call up Garrett and Lylian. I'll see you tonight, Angel. Wear something fancy."

I kissed her cheek and walked out of her room to go home. I had a date to get ready for.
