ADDA POV

After I left Anna's I went home and tried to get some sleep seeing as we had school tomorrow. However I heard a strange noise around midnight that had me jumping out of my bed and going downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed an abandoned knife off the counter and started looking for the cause of the noise I had heard while in my bedroom. I noticed after grabbing the knife that the glass paned door on the other side of the counter was open and banging against the wall making the noise. Though now the noise wasn't my concern. Why was the door open was my concern. The first thing I did after finding the door open was going upstairs to check on my mom. I wasn't prepared for what I found.

My mother was tied to her bed with tears and blood running down her cheek a gag in her mouth refraining her from talking. I quickly went to my mom and took the gag out of her mouth at first she didn't make a sound but then like water rushing through a broken dam she started sobbing. I checked her cheek and realized from my time street fighting that it was a deep cut that would need several stitches seeing as how the cut started at her temple right by her left eye ran down her cheek and stopped under her chin. This cut would leave a scar on her for the rest of her life no doubt.

"What happened? Tell me what happened mom." I told her but she just continued to sob. I untied her from the bed and took her downstairs realizing by now that the intruder was gone I put the knife back on the counter and grabbed my car keys. I took my mom to the nearest hospital and watched as she flinched as they stitched the wound close. A nurse informed me that they had called the police and that they would want to talk to both me and mom. Soon the wound was stitched closed and mom sat there frozen. I examined her face with the newly closed wound that took eighty-two stitches to close. Tears still ran down her face and I could see the pain in her eyes. I just wanted to know what happened and why I hadn't heard anything from my room surely my mother at least screamed while getting a cut like that.

Soon the police showed up to question us. "Did you see what the guy that broke into your house looked like ma'am?" The officer asked while holding a pen and note pad in his hands. "He-He had blonde ha-hair and blue eyes. He um-he was taller than Adda by a few inches."  I knew immediately who she was describing. The man I had watched kill someone who had been following me who I had beat up at the club. "Is this him?" The cop asked pulling a sketch, that looked exactly like the man, out and showed it to mom. "Y-Yes." Mom replied shakily. "Ma'am the man that broke into your house, Alec Winsin, is wanted for murder. We will put cops at your house incase the man comes back to  harm you or your daughter while we try to catch him." Cops outside our house? Well it's official cops are useless.

I drove mom back home and put her on the couch to get some rest I looked out the window to see the cop had  already arrived and was parked on the curb across the street from our house. I looked over at mom to see she had already passed out from exhaustion. I decided to stay up so I went to the kitchen to get some water. Then I noticed something on the counter that wasn't there before. Written on a small piece of paper. "You will pay."
