ADDA POV

After setting up all night to make sure my mom was safe I was completely out of energy. I decided to not go to school but to spend the day with my mom. I walked from the living room to the kitchen and noticed the knife on the counter I put it up and then went to the fridge and grabbed eggs and bacon for breakfast. After breakfast was done I went to wake my mom who was still asleep on the couch. "Hey, mom wake up." I said as I lightly shook her shoulder. My mother began screaming and thrashing. "Hey It's me, Adda, mom you're alright." I said as I sat on the couch and began to hold her while stroking her hair.

After mom's little episode, telling me how terrified she was about the night before, we went to the kitchen and ate breakfast. Around twelve-thirty I went looking for mom seeing as how I had went to my room to call Anna and see what school work I was missing. I found mom staring out the window in the living room. "Mom I have to go somewhere tonight. Do you think you'll be alright?"  I asked her but she didn't respond just kept staring out the window. I walked to the window and looked outside wondering if the cop car was still out there. Sure enough on the curb across the street it was still there.

Later that night I had a street fight. I told mom I was leaving and would be back soon. Before I left I went across the street to the cop car and knocked on the window. The officer inside asked me what I wanted. "I have to leave so I want you to go in the house and stay with my mom." I told him wanting someone to keep a close eye on her while I was gone. "Alright, how long will you be gone?" He asked as he got out of the car. I told him not long and then went to my street fight down town.

As I got ready I noticed there was something off about the crowd but I shook it off thinking it was nothing. I waited for my match which was always the last of the night seeing as how I was the only girl that fought here they usually made quite the spectacle of it all. I watched the fights before mine noticing there was a lot of guys I had never seen before which seemed  strange as we didn't usually let a lot of new people at all much less a lot recently. After a few more matches it was my turn.

I got in the rink and turned to meet my opponent but what I saw sent chills down my spine. It was him or who I learned last night was Alec. He realized that I knew who he was and smirked at me. I shook off the chills and got ready to show him no one touches my mother when I noticed he wasn't the only one in the rink. Three of the new comers I had seen fight earlier tonight was in the rink with us. I looked around to see no one seemed to care they weren't playing by the rules. The bell rang starting the fight. Alec came at me jumping to and from me on his toes trying to get me to make the first move. I noticed the others didn't move only stood on the side lines. Alec soon got tired of the failing attempt to play cat and mouse and threw a left hook and hit my jaw. I kicked him in the stomach and threw a right hook successfully breaking his nose with a sickening crack.

I stepped further back as he raised his head back up and swiped my feet out from under  me. I quickly got back up and kicked his chest causing him fall back the air lost from his lungs. Using that moment I kicked his legs from under him. I got on top of him and started repeatedly punching him. All of the sudden my feet weren't on the ground. I was in the air flying to the other side of the ring. Alec's friends chose the worst time to intervene. One of the guy's who had black hair and olive skin was helping Alec out of the ring and one with red hair and pale skin was coming toward me.

I quickly got back up and raised my fist to which he laughed at. I looked for the third boy who was in the ring before to find him gone. It was just the red head and me now. He went to throw a punch when we heard someone yell get down and then I heard loud pops that I realized were gunshots. I ran out of the ring and grabbed my bag and left hearing more gunshots inside from the alley. I kept running looking back occasionally to see if anyone was trying to follow me. I heard a shot from behind me but I kept running until I got home. I ran in and locked the door putting my back to it when I noticed a sharp pain coming from my side I look to see blood soaking into my top.
