After trying to get ahold of my parents, and failing miserably, I ran down stairs and grabbed my sweater. Right on my tail was Park and Stiles.
“Where are you going?” They asked. I ignored them. We didn’t have time to ask questions and panic. I’m never really one to take control, but this was serious. My parents were somewhere out there, at work probably. Or maybe they were on their way to work this morning at the same time….no. I can’t think like that. Or I’ll lose hope. Without hope, I’d be broken.
As I made my way to the door, I was stopped by Stiles grabbing my arm.
“Are you crazy dude?! We can’t go outside! Another earthquake could hit. And just that small one itself caused chaos. Have you even seen outside yet?!” He said with wide eyes that showed fear, but you could tell he was trying to hide it. At least I could, I always knew when something was wrong with Stiles.
“We can’t be scared now Stiletto. We have to find our parents.” I demanded. Purposely emphasizing our so he knows I want us to split up.
“Oh damn,” Park said shocked. “He called you Stiletto. That’s how you know he's serious.”
I took a look outside like Stiles said. And he was right.
A small house just down the block was split into two. Probably because of how old it was. Along people all around were screaming, crying out names. And a man crushed underneath a traffic light with people surrounding him, trying to lift it. Just the sight itself it was horrifying, but the closer I stepped toward the window, the louder the screams became.
Suddenly I got a cold chill and it whispered something.
Chaos is coming.
