Chapter 15

I went down stairs to the smell of grits, eggs, biscuits, bacon, ham, sausage,and pancakes. With Ky right behind me.

I guess Noland and Carter has already gotten down there. There was no music playing, then u saw them stuffing their faces.  I was bout ready to throw down.

"Good Morning Granny, Laysha, and dah rest of yall."

"Yea, mmmm good morning to you to fatty." Noland said.

"Shutup little boy." I told him.

"Keri, what do you want to eat, honey?" My granny said.

"Everything! "I said so enthusiastic till everyone heard it in my voice and looked at me.

"Wow" Laysha said.

"Well goddang" Ky said.

"Meathead!" Noland said.

"Is you really bout to eat all dat ?" Carter said.

I looked at all of them up and down, then walked over to where they were and whisper yelled to them "All yall skinny asses needa stop frontin like yall ain hungry or dont like food."

I then walked over to my granny and she had my two plates ready.

"Thanks granny! "I told her, she said your welcome and kissed my cheek.

I finished my food first and everyone looked at me, I then said "Um, well since everyone is focused on me right now, who's gonna drive me to school?"

"Sorry hun, but i gotta go." my granny said.

"I have to go to school too mookie, and community college is all the way on the other side of town, and I'm already late." Alaysha stated walking to the door.

"Grandaddyyyyyyy?" I said as he was walking downstairs.

"Sorry mookie but whatever it is you want, ask Carter cuz i gotta go, love you tho baby girl. " my grandaddy said.

"Carrtteerr????"

"Nope nope nope nope, hell nahh. You on your own sis. Memba da last time I took you ?"

"Ohhh yea.......oops sorry."i said trying not to laugh.

"Mmm yea, go head and laugh, das why ine takin yo fat ass now. "

"Why you So damn mean Carter?" i asked him.

"Because I feel like it mookie." Carter told me

"Well, riding the bus sooo Mookie, you bests da take the bus wi-"Noland started to say.

But then Carter interrupted him and  said "Hell no, you ain ridin dah bus come on" i thought so much he was talking about me,so I walked to the door.

He said " Um keri, where in da hell do you think your going ?"Carter said

I said "To your car silly, you just said I can ride with you."

"Um, no I di -i was not talking about you or to you, I was talking to Noland." 

Now that had hurt. "You better ask Ky to take you." he said.

Then I looked around.  He was the only one left. Damnn !!

"So, um you want me to take you or nahh?" Ky asked

"Sure Ky." I told him
