Mason POV.
Mason was eating his dinner while his mom was scolding his twin sister, Siren.
"Getting suspended is something I never even thought you would ever do Siren! I am absolutely disappointed in you"
"It was an Accident." Siren Exclaims. "I didn't mean for Hailey to go to the nurse's office!" She leans back on her chair folding her arms. " I was hoping for the hospital"
"You did it on purpose!!" Mom yells. She starts pacing the kitchen and their step dad is on the phone watching netflix.
"Dan. Tell me I'm not dreaming." The mom says desperately, to his husband. without looking up Dan said.
"Your not dreaming"
"I'm not dreaming"
Siren stands up.
"Mom I was kidding!"
Mom stops "oh. About the whole getting suspend thing?"
Siren blows her bubble then it pops.
"No about the whole wanting Hailey to go to the hospital thing"
"so It's not a dream!!!"
Mason pinches her mom. She winces.
"Not a dream" Mason confirms.
She sighs
"Oh. Siren. Why can't you be like your twin brother"
Siren sighs loudly. "Mom . . ."
Their mom glared at Siren.
"Go to your room. I don't want to talk to you right now we will discuss this in the morning since there is no point in you going to school."
Mason was about to say something but his mom beat him to it. "Yes you are still going to school. No. If, buts or ands"
With a sigh both twins head into their room. They shared a room which they didn't really care about.
Siren slumped on her bed.
"It's always. Mason this. Mason that. You should be like Mason. He has good grades" then a loud groan escaped!
"Me!" Mason Bellowed "you think I like being mister perfect and Mr.. Good boy and Class pet! Why can't I get in trouble for once" he folded his arms.
Siren glared at him "you think it's fun getting in trouble having freaking dyslexia and ADHD that drives me crazy? I don't fit in anywhere."
"Well you get all the attention" Mason grumbles. Siren sits up. Her gaze locks on Mason.
"Well you didn't get suspended."
Mason looked away. It was silent. He decied that he was going to take a shower, by the time he came back his sister was already asleep snoring really loud and ontop of her bed. Mason sighed and went to his sister's side he pulled the blanket from under her. Then covered her. He then slumped on his bed as the darkness swallowed him.

The next day, Mason woke up by the sound of his alarm, when his eyes adjusted to the sunlight he looked and saw that his sister was already out of bed. He tossed on some clothes and ran downstairs. His step dad was on the kitchen table with his phone and head phones on top. He looked around. His mom wasn't there either. He opened the fridge and grabbed a carton of milk and a bowl of cereal. He was halfway finshed with the cereal when his dad noticed his existence.
"Mason you walking or want me to take you to school"
He asks loudly without removing the headphones.
"I'll walk" Mason says.
"What!"
"I said I'll WALK"
The dad looked confused the his confusion changed to understanding.
