The day went by incredibly slow, as usual, but you couldn't focus much on the classes, like you wanted to. Your mind was on how you were going to tell your friends that you weren't sure how long you were going to live....
You went through your first four periods, barely doing enough to pass as paying attention.
Lunch rolled around and you got up, nothing having left your bag the whole class, in your distraction. You had to go to the hospital the doctor recommended to discuss your treatment.
Walking around the campus, you found the spot you always ate lunch at with your group of friends. Right by the drama room, your best friends were waiting with a few more of the group.
You smiled as you walked up, waving a bit and everyone waved back. Victoria and Thomas still had a bit of a worried look to them, but didn't mention anything.
"Hey midget, where's your food?" Victoria asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Wha-? Oh..." You had forgotten to get lunch, but you weren't hungry anyways, "I'm not that hungry and plus, the lines are super long at the beginning."
Victoria's look of disapproval grew, but she didn't say anything. She reached into her bag and pulled out a Rice Krispie, one of the longer ones.
Handing it to you, she said, "You'll eat something, I don't want you to suddenly go anorexic on me, girl."
You smiled and giggled a bit, and looked down at the sugary snack. You always loved sweets, in fact, you couldn't get enough of them.
Thomas stood next to you, one arm around his girlfriend's, Heather, shoulders and his opposite hand, holding a Coke out to you.
"Here, you'll need something to wash that down. Why not use more sugar?" He laughed a bit
The three of you laughed together and you took the soda.
"Thanks guys, ya'll are the best." You told them, the happiest you've felt all day.
They knew all your favorites, how a Coke always brought a smile to your face and your eyes seemed to twinkle at the sight of a sugary delight.
As lunch went on, the three of you talked about your weekends, since they couldn't be spent together this time.
Victoria went to the gun range with her parents, and being an only child like you, she bonded closer with her parents. She wasn't the best shot, but she wasn't the worst. She said she improved, and was able to hit near the center of the target.
Thomas didn't do much but go to the mall with his girlfriend and play his new XboxOne. He said it wasn't as great as the media hypes up, but it's not terrible.
The bell rang before you could discuss your own weekend, which you thanked for, so you wouldn't have to tell them just yet. You put your headphones in, as you made to your last two periods. The teachers for those classes didn't care if you weren't listening, as long as you wrote everything down and were ready for the tests.
Halfway through the song, it switched to 'Pop Goes the Weasel' again, like it did in the bathroom this morning.
Confused, you looked down to your iPod, trying to fix it. It took the entire walk to the class, but as soon as you stepped inside, it went back to normal, like nothing happened.
You, again, shrugged it off and zoned out to your music during class. You only realized the bell had rang when you saw everyone packing up and leaving out the door. Doing the same, you tried to hurry to your last class so you could hurry home.
Your last class went by fast, since everyone was doing whatever they wanted, the teacher being gone the whole class. You decided to start drawing in your notebook, since art was one of your favorite things to do.
As you began drawing, the girl that sat next to you started watching you, looking over your shoulder.
Noticing this, you turned to face her, "May I help you?"
She turned a bit red from embarrassment and shook her head, "N-No, I just saw you drawing and wanted to watch. You're really good."
Now it was your turn to blush a bit. You looked down at your work, and shrugged.
"It's not that great, there are so many better people, but I do okay," You replied, mumbling slightly.
"Well, I think you're amazing. One of the best I've seen," She smiled
You looked back up at her again and smiled with her, "Thanks."
You extended your hand to her, "I'm-"
"(Y/N), I know. I've sat next to you the entire year."
You grew more red at this fact. How could she know my name but I not know hers?! God, I'm such a jerk! You thought to yourself.
"Oh god, I'm sorry, I don't know your name, I probably seem like such a jerk!"
She actually chuckled, instead of seeming offended like you thought, "It's fine. We haven't actually talked so I don't think you're a jerk for not knowing my name. It's Lakely, by the way."
She took your hand and shook it, still smiling.
When you released her hand, she looked at your drawing again and you took it as a hint that you can continue drawing. So you did just that.
You drew for the rest of the class, Lakely watching happily over your shoulder.
It was an odd feeling, having a new friend, or someone knew that was talking to you. You ended up drawing the carnival scene from your dream last night. You're not sure why, but your hands just kind of, flew it out onto the paper.
The bell rang, though you weren't finished. Lakely continued looking at the picture after she was packed up.
"That looks amazing, (Y/N)! Where did you think of it?"
"I'm not sure actually... I just saw it in my dream and my hands kinda, took over."
You walked out of class with her, and you noticed her features more now. She had dirty blonde hair, her eyes crystal blue. She seemed to love the colors blue and pink, since that is what her outfit consisted of. She wore a hot pink dress with a blue blazer over it, in small silver baby heels.
She seemed so shy at first, being as you found out she never had the courage to say hi at first, but you soon found out she loved video games and the woods by your guys town. It was just a mile from your own house, but hers was right in front of it.
You two had walked together until she stopped in front of the bus stop. She didn't have her own car, so she took the bus. You waved and told her goodbye and she did the same as she climbed onto the bus.
You turned to walk to your car, and saw a large figure over in the parking lot, in the area of your car. You started walking towards there, hoping he wasn't doing anything to your baby. As you got closer though, he seemed to disappear.
Confused, you shut your eyes for a second and opened them. When you did, he was gone completely.
You shrugged it off. It's probably all this sudden stress, you thought to yourself as you unlocked your car, a 1997 Mustang Convertible. It was your dad's and he had given it to you when you got your license.
You climbed in, and looked into your mirror, to make sure it was adjusted properly.
Instead of the parking lot, you saw the face of a monotone clown with white skin, his nose pointed, his hair was black and feathery. You turned back quickly, ready to scream, but nothing was there.
You faced forward again, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down. When you finally composed yourself, you turned on the car and drove home, a bit quickly after that incident.
