"Isn't that what we've been doing?"

"Yeah but we've been 'starting a band' for years now. We need to get off our asses and actually do something now that we can drive and have a bit of money. A drummer and a bassist does not a band make."

"You'll be singing and writing too though right? Because you are fantastic at both of those things and you have to."

"That was the plan. But we need guitarists and preferably a male vocalist as well. Any ideas?"

She smirks mischievously after thinking for a moment. "You know that douchey looking guy in study hall? The one that looks like he's trying too hard to be Andy Biersack but pulls it off?"

        "Oh god, yes?"

        "We've been talking"

"You know, if you had low confidence, I'd be concerned with your love of jerks"

"Surprisingly, this one isn't actually a jerk and he plays guitar like a god. I think he said he likes to play rhythm. So we just need to ask, and then get a lead. I could ask if he's got any hot, guitar playing friends."

"Woah! Haven't agreed on letting him in yet! I still refer to him as 'That Andy Douche Guy'!"

"His name is Jaxon, and I'm calling him. Do you want me to ask if he's got a pal that'd be interested or not?"

I think about her offer as I briefly stare into space.

        "Rae."

"Nah... I've got someone in mind." I stay staring into nothingness as I pick up my phone and hit the redial button.

"Who do you 'have in mind'?" she asks handing my words back to me.

"Sully." I looked at her just as the puzzled look faded from her face.

"Sully? Your step-brother Sully? The AC-DC, Aerosmith, Twisted Sister loving Sully? He's not going to want to be in our little pop-punk band."

"Meh. It's worth a shot. And he owes me for doing the thing."

"Still holding that against him?" she asks disapprovingly as she crosses her arms.

"Until he makes up for it, which he hasn't yet. I'm not really upset about it anymore though. It's just that, now I have something to hold over him, and I'm taking advantage of that."

"Well call him then. See what happens."

After I make sure that the number on my screen did in fact belong to Sully, I hit the call button and put the phone to my ear.

Ring

Ring

Rin-

"Hello?" His voice was deeper and more gravelly than usual.

"Sully, it's 3 in the afternoon. Why do you sound like you've been asleep? I want you to know I'm judging you."

"Dammit Ronan," he said my name as if he hadn't checked the caller I.D.  and had just realized who was on the other end of the line. "I was in the middle of the best dream I've ever had and you interrupted it. There were cheerleaders and pu-"

"I really don't care Sully. Grab your guitar and get your lazy, sleepy butt over here."

        "Why!?" he asked whining.

"Because Loreane and I are wanting to make a cover with the band. Which requires the band."

"What? Which band? Why do you need  me?"

"Because you're part of the band. Catch up."

"What!? Don't we need to discuss this?

"Okay, do this cover with us at least and we'll discuss after."

There was a long groan on his end

        "Sully pleaaaaaaaaaaaaa-"

"Shut up Rae. Fine. give me a minute."

        "Thanks Sul!"

"Shhhhh." he still sounded half asleep.

I laughed, excited. "Hurry!" I hung up the phone and gave Lorane a thumbs-up.

        "Just Jaxon now?" she asked

        "Yuuuup" I grinned

She smiled flirtily as she dialed Jaxon.
