I was traveling through the woods with my dog/human friend Pyper we saw our first kill. 

"Pyper goes fetch," I told her. She did as she told, but came back empty handed."Go find."I commanded her, in a friendly way, of course.

5 minutes later she came back with a very pissed off person. He wore a mask that only covered his mouth, he had orange goggles, and he wore a hood with jeans. He had two hatchets like mine, except one of mine are green. I realized I was staring, and quickly stopped.

"Who are you!?" I asked him, and he responded with a stuttering voice "T-Ticci T-Toby." I stood there for a moment, then said: "Don't steal my victims." I got on Pyper's back, and we left. I was thinking about that boy the whole time. Once we stopped, I got off pyper, and she turned human.

She had nyan blue hair and eyes; she wore a white hoodie, black shorts, and white boots. She always had a blade on her back, and she was very shy. I snapped out of my thoughts when Pyper yelled; "Kat we should start setting up camp." I nodded, and we began to set up camp.

After we had been done, we sat down, and I started to hum don't you dare forget the sun. I then heard a twig snap, so I looked around and saw a guy watching me. He wore a yellow hoodie and a mask with female-like features.

When he saw me looking at him, he ran. I saw pyper growling, and I saw that guy from earlier. Pyper started to growl louder, so I said: "It's ok, ill let you kill him if he hurts me." She kept growling at him, and having had enough, I snapped "Stop!" and she did, but I can read her thoughts, and I knew she didn't like him.

After a while, I said "Hi.", and he looked at me and asked: "why aren't you in a house?" That's when I remembered.

*Flashback*

Pyper and I are in my house with my parent's. They hated me so they would always beat me up. One day I saw my dad about to shoot Pyper, so I stabbed him in the leg, and they kicked me out.

*End of flashback*

"I was kicked out," I mumbled. Toby looked at me with sorrow lingering in his eyes and said"oh." He then said, " I know a place you can stay." I looked up at him happily, and so did Pyper. We followed him, and after 30 minutes of walking, we reached an abandoned warehouse. He gave me the key, then left. I was sad about him leaving, but I was happy that Pyper and I had a place to stay.
