The sounds of cars passing by and people chatting and laughing filled your ears as you sat quietly in your own private room "how the hell am i supposed to get any kind of sleep?" you sighed scrolling through your computer ,randomly hopping from site to site
"uh ! It's about time!" you smiled as an incoming video call popped up ,living away from your family wasn't the easiest choice you did, but after long pleads and begging your stepmother and father they finally agreed, leaving everyone behind you packed and went to live in the crowded city
"Y/N I'm going to grab something to eat ...wanna come along ?" a knock on the door before a young lady spoke
"no Jenny, I'm good" you said wearing your headphones, Jenny was one of your roommates.
Of course moving into the city meant money! So you decided to be smart about it and look for roommates to save a few dollars.
"Hey Y/N !! Happy Halloween ~ How are you?" smiled your cousin waving her hand
"hey~it's still not Halloween yet...I'm good ! and you? How's everyone?" you waved back laughing
"it will be very soon !! everyone is doing well, what's new with you ? How are you holding up with the roommates?" she chuckled
"well, they aren't bad...a little loud but really nice to be completely honest, it's not like i spend the whole day with them, work really occupy most of the day and then i head to the gym because dad signed me up for it" you laughed slightly
"do you even do anything there ?" your cousin asked as the screen started lagging
"i do really! Ugh...this fucking internet connection again" you sighed clicking on your mouse to check the problem
"it's okay, i can talk to you later" she waved before signing out
"damn it. It's because someome is watching a movie!" getting up you walked out of your room into the small hallway.
in front of your room was the bathroom while on your right were two bedrooms, one for Jenny, a young lady with light blue eyes and shoulder length black hair with green tips, the other room was for Emma and Samantha.
Emma had long wavy beachy blond hair and brown eyes while Samantha had short wavy strawberry blond and olive green eyes.
Walking to your left you stood in the middle of the living room with the kitchenette to your right,the small apartment wasn't huge but for the price you're paying, it was decent "what are you guys watching ?" you walked over to the two girls sitting on the couch
"white chicks" Emma smiled turning on the volume as the party on the upper floor grew noisier
"huh~ another early Halloween party ? Did Jenny go again ?" you walked to the small balcony opening it allowing the cold air to freshen up the space
"you know Jenny ! She rather die than to miss a party" Samantha laughed
"we should go with her next time...see what's it all about!" she added gulbing her caned drink
"i don't think parties are my thing" looking outside into the busy streets as cars passed by and honked loudly ,under your apartment building were rows of bars filled with drunk people ,you would spend days trying to count how many times you've been cat called and harassed
"bunch of idiots" you sighed giggling at the fight that broke between two guys
"tell me about it" Emma stood next to you taking a pack of cigarettes from her pocket, taking a deep inhale as the toxic chemicals seeped into her lungs
