Chapter 1

Lena pulled the string back as she held three arrows aimed at a man named, Tyrian Callows. "Kara, move!" She called, and Kara moved swiftly to allow Lena to shoot. She launched them, and Tyrian was too slow to see what was about to happen. They all impaled Tyrian and he howled, "You bitch!" He struggled to pull them out from the tree but it was too difficult for him.

"We don't have to worry about him for a long time." Kara said smiling.

"We need to move, his anger might attract more hostile Grimm." Lena said but smiled at her girlfriend. Lena then gripped Kara's hand and they began to walk.

The girls had been through a lot in their seventeen years. They had been attacked by Grimm and people they believed were their friends. It hurt Lena and Kara that they could only trust each other and no one else. Together, they worked like a seamless team. They would comfort each other just by touching each other's arms.

"We have lost so many of our friends." Kara said as she swung her and Lena's hand as they walked.

Lena nodded and started to list names, "Sara, Mick, Leo, Amaya, Zari, Nate, Ray, Professor Stein, Wally, Oliver, Felicity, John, Lyla, Laurel, Curtis, Rene, ...Dinah." Lena began to tear up. Dinah was a big sister to Lena and it hurt her the most to lose her, especially when she almost killed Lena.

"Yeah, Dinah was the hardest for you, but she was going to murder you. I couldn't stand the thought of losing you, even if it meant watching the light fade from her eyes."

"I wish it was possible to save all of our friends." Lena sighed.

"I do too. Barry, Iris, Caitlin, Cisco and Ralph, you forgot them."

"Yeah, I guess I did." They continued walking.

"Wait, someone's missing, who did we forget?" Kara asked her, but they were cut off by a voice.

"Hello, Super Twins." A voice said, calling them by the nickname they had earned because of their swift teamwork and how they acted by just looking at each other.

"Jax." Both girls said realizing who they forgot and seeing him in front of them.

"If I remember clearly, you both killed Grey."

"He was trying to kill us, Jax, it was the only way to stop him." Kara said.

"Get off that mighty pedestal, Phoenix. We all know you are not a god so stop acting like you are."

"Kara is not high and mighty, Jax. She speaks only of the truth." Lena said as she pulled out her dual swords.

"Truth? You're one to talk, Lena. It was your secret that froze all of my teammates hearts."

Lena could feel her fury building in her chest. It was an accident when she killed Sara, Leo, Mick, Amaya, Zari, Nate, Ray, and Wally. Amaya questioned her about the gloves, Wally stole them, and, in the end, her ice sliced through Wally and Amaya and the others attacked her for fear she had become a monster. "I am afraid of my semblance, Jax, any human being would be scared of what they don't understand."

"And yet, all my teammates are dead, and you still stand." He said angrily as a fireball was conjured in his hand. "The two of you will feel what Grey felt." He launched it at them and Kara dove to one side with Lena on the other. Lena pulled off her glove and held her hand out. A ray of frost emerged, and she aimed to freeze his hand.

Jax moved and laughed, "Your tricks won't work on me, Princess." He launched another fireball and Lena had to roll just to avoid the heat from the fire.

"Why does everybody call me that?" Lena asked as Kara leaped from behind Jax and she tried to aim her legs to scissor him. He saw it and grabbed Kara from mid air. He whipped her around and threw her to the ground. Kara rolled and moaned as she clutched her side. "Kara!" Lena yelled and Jax laughed.

"I have watched you girls fight, I know what move you will make long before you make it. I'm not some inner circle thug from Salem, how can you possibly hope to defeat me?"

Lena could feel the rage inside her churn. It was just waiting for the right opportunity to strike. Kara was down and she needed to protect her. Lena shoved her gloves into her quiver on her back. It was now or never, she had to do it. She was worried Kara would freeze but Kara was a ray of sunshine, she probably would be okay. Lena could feel the temperature around her begin to drop. The rage she felt against Jax, his smug face, his laugh, and the way he hurt Kara bubbled inside. She remembered what Kara said one time, Just let it go, you will not feel better until you let it out.

Lena screamed as the frost covered everything, the ground becoming ice and Jax yelling at her. It all started to turn white as a glowing blue thing appeared. Lena felt someone grab her as everything faded to white.
