thirty arielle
I’m glad I’m getting married to Chris, even though we argue I love him to death. I tied up the robe, walking into the bathroom. Joseline, Samantha, Brittany, and Melanie were in there, doing hair or makeup. They were dressed up in their dresses.
‘’Hey, we need to do her makeup and hair.’’ Melanie said. I sat down, then let everyone do whatever they had to do to my face and hair. I’m ready for this change in my life. After they were done, Brittany ran out of the room. I felt tears build up into my eyes. Brittany ran in with my wedding dress.
‘’Let us give her some privacy.’’ Brittany said. They walked out of the bathroom, closing the door behind themselves. I slipped off the robe, stepping into the wedding dress. I smiled into the mirror.
‘’I need some help!’’ I shouted. Joseline walked into the bathroom, zipping me up. I walked into the bedroom, grabbing my heels. I slipped them on then I looked into the mirror.
‘’You look so beautiful.’’ Joseline said, hugging me. I placed my veil onto my head. I grabbed my bouquet then walked out to the living room. They all squealed then took pictures.
‘’Come on, my cousin needs to get her freak on after the wedding.’’ Brittany said. We walked out of the door, to the white limo Chris had for us. We got in, then the driver pulled off. I looked out of the window, smiling. I’m marrying the man of my dreams, and I’m having his child too. Speaking of his child, this little one has my hormones going and going. The driver pulled up to the venue. We got out, walking into the little building. I made sure my makeup was good.
I looked down my engagement ring, smiling. Tears fell onto it. I love Chris with all my heart and soul. I think that we were meant to be. I mean I can scream and fuss and he’ll do his best to make me feel better.
‘’It’s time.’’ Ryan said. The girls hugged me, then walked out of the building. I wiped my eyes, getting up. I walked over to Ryan, hugging him tightly. ‘’Best friend, I’m proud of you. You’re out here doing good, remember that I’ll always be here for you. You call and I’ll be there.’’ He said, smiling. I cried on his shoulder then I wiped my eyes. ‘’Come on.’’ He said, linking arms. We walked down the aisle. I looked at everyone smiling. We stopped and I hugged Ryan tightly.
‘’Who gives this woman to this man?’’ The pastor asked.
‘’I do.’’ Ryan said, letting go. I walked up to Chris, standing in front of him.
‘’We are here today to wed Christopher Maurice Brown and Arielle Marie Santiago. I want you two to know that marriage is sacred and trustful. Yo-.’’ The pastor said, getting cut off by Chris’s phone. He pulled out his phone then his eyes got big.
‘’Now? Are you serious? I’m on the way.’’ He said, hanging up. ‘’Karrueche is in labor.’’ He said.
‘’So you’re going to leave me here at the altar for her. Wow, Chris I thought that you were ready but you’re putting her over me. Forget it.’’ I said, throwing the engagement ring at him.
‘’I still love you.’’ He said, lifting my veil. He pecked my lips then ran away. I broke down to the ground, crying. Ms. Joyce and the crew came to me. Ryan picked me up, letting me cry on his shoulder. I push them away, walking down to the beach. I took off my wedding dress, throwing it into the water. I looked down at my bra and boyshorts. Ryan gave me his coat.
‘’I can’t believe this shit, I’m done with love.’’ I said, crying onto his shoulder. Ryan picked me up, bridal style. He carried me to his car. ‘’Take me to the house, I’m getting my shit.’’ I said. He put me into the passenger seat, putting the seatbelt around me. He closed the door then jogged to his side. He put the key into the ignition, pulling off.
‘’Best friend, stop crying. Remember there is a baby inside of you.’’ He said. I sat up, wiping my tears. My mood shifted from being sad to being angry.
‘’He left me at the fucking altar after me here for him! He better be glad I’m not on that Waiting to Exhale shit. I’m just going to move on.’’ I said, looking out of the window. I got out of the car. I walked into the house, upstairs. I walked into the bedroom, grabbing my luggage. I packed everything, not leaving one ounce of clothing. I walked downstairs, grabbing one of the pictures of us. I’m ready to begin my new life.

Karrueche grabbed onto my tuxedo, as she lifted forward. I really feel back about Arielle, I really love that girl. There was a loud cry then the doctor cut the umbilical cord.
‘’It’s a girl!’’ He announced, handing her to me. I looked down at her, smiling. I handed the baby girl to Karrueche.
‘’Chris, go. You need to go see if she’s still there.’’ Karrueche said. I ran out of the room, down the hallway. I ran out of the hospital, to my Lamborghini. I got in, putting the key into the ignition. I pulled off, thinking about Arielle. I pulled up to the venue to see people cleaning up. I got out of the car, walking down to it. My mom slapped the shit out of me.
‘’Christopher Maurice Brown, I should really beat yo’ ass. You left that girl at the altar. She broke down, then threw her wedding dress into the ocean. I’m really ashamed and disappointed in you. She has your child inside of her. Boy, you should be ashamed of your own damn self.’’ She said. I looked down at the ground, letting the tears fall. ‘’Don’t cry Christopher, you broke that girl’s heart. Next time, think before you do.’’ My mom said, walking away.
What do you think? Chris was wrong for that, he broke Arielle’s heart. Go check out my new August Alsina book, Between Us Two. Leave a comment, vote, follow, and leave feedback.-Daniella
