The apartment

They all unload out of the car and start pacing to the door of the apartment complex. Josee stops and looks around at the ground floor. So grand and beautiful. She didn't expect it to look so nice. Maybe the city wont be that bad.

Her parents make their way to the front desk to get the apartment key.

They rest their arms on the desk and smile awkwardly waiting for the lady to notice them.
She looks up and a shocked look spreads across her face but she quickly replaces it with a slanted smile

"Hello! Welcome to San Francisco complex, how may I help?"

Josee's mom answers with "Hi! We just moved here, and we need our apartment key and number clarification. We were only told it was on floor 6."

"Ok! So your apartment number is 277, and here is your key!"

The attendant grabs a key and holds it up. Josee's mom reaches out her hand and the attendant drops it in.

Meanwhile josee is dazing off while standing in the lobby. Her parents call for her and she walks into the elevator to go up.
Once they reach the top floor she walks out and finds 277..

Its almost at the end of the corridor. This won't be fun to bring friends here. Josee thinks.

They unlock the apartment and look inside. The smell of vanilla pierces her nose. She starts walking around the apartment. Its small but not too small. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. YESSS. A bathroom to myself. Josee thinks. She looks across from the bathroom and sees a bedroom. Its about the size of a smaller sized children's play room. Enough to fit a small bed, a desk, and a dresser. It has a small closet too.

Now, josee is extremely lazy and hates doing lifting
Work. So she just sits on the floor and lets her parents finish unloading the moving truck.

Her parents drop off boxes of her stuff in her small little room. She starts taking stuff out. All of it smells very earthly. Like the scent of her old house. It brings her back.

Her mom walks in on her sniffing the decor.
"Hon, do you need to talk?"
Her mom says concerned.

josee looks up and blushes. "I am sure going to miss  the old house."

Her mom gives a loving smile. "Me too. But remember, this is going to be great. You're going to have so many new friends, so many new opportunities!"

Josee slightly smiles "Yeh I guess you're right."
They hug and her mom gets up and walks out.

Josee finishes sprawling all her stuff on the floor. She notices she doesn't have many things at all.

She sets pictures and books on a shelf. She slides her mattress towards the corner and hangs up curtains. She organizes all her stuff properly.

She finishes up her room and walks out to where her parents are. They are by the front door and quietly talking.
   All she can hear is:

"I hope she finds some friends."

It passes through one ear and out the other.
Im not going to worry about that.
