Prologue
Mystic Falls 1864
"Damon!" I shouted as I ran towards the man I've come to know as a brother, but am in love with. "Damon please, please stop."
"No!" he bellowed back with such force I cringed a little. " I can't I have to save Katherine."
"But Damon -"
"But nothing Millie, I know about your little crush on me and I don't feel the same way. So just leave me to save the woman I love."
And with that he was gone leaving me heart broken. Standing in the middle of the forest. I waited for a few minutes before I started to following him again. Even if he didn't want me, or my help he was going to get it.
After a while I found the brothers Stefan and Damon trying to get Katherine out of the jail carriage. A gun shot rang out and I saw a bullet pierce through Stefan's chest. I saw the man with the gun begin to point at Damon and before I knew what I was doing I was in front of Damon with a bullet going through my chest as well.
"No!" I heard Damon cry as I fell. " Please be alright Mils, please be alright"
"I'm s-s-sorry Da-Damon, I-I-I love y-you" I whispered with the last of my breath.
"Millie! Please don't leave me as well" He sobbed as I took my last breath and and watched a bullet go through his chest before I died.
