3 Days Later (Their Dad’s POV)

My wife Anna flipped out on our sons 3 days ago after finding out Jay woke up releasing himself from the hospital and they snuck in the house without telling us. I’ve never seem her so livid since the time Jay crashed her $50,000 car I got her for her birthday into a BMW Dealership joyriding last year. That son of ours sure knows how to cost us a lot of money let me tell you. The call after his joyriding, I remember now.

RING, RING, RING,

“This is the Harman residents, Mr. Harman speaking.” I say answering the phone.

“Yes, Mr. Harman would you happen to be the father of 1 Jay Gregory Harman and 1 Joanna Amy Harman?”

“Yes, those are my children. May I please know who this is and why you called?”

“This Officer King your children have been taken to the hospital after your son crashed into a dealership into a couple BMWs. Your son wasn’t badly injured but, your daughter is a different story.”

“Thank you very much for notifying me. We’ll be heading to the hospital right away and pay for any damages.” I say calmly while freaking out inside.

We hung up with each other a few moments later. I simply told Anna to we need to go somewhere and to get into the car. I told her everything in the car, she had worry written all over her face and stayed silent until we got there talking to the police and doctors. The anger I got after hearing everything was nothing compare to Anna’s. Our son cost us $150,000 in damages, will be charged with reckless driving, and put his already sick sister into a short term coma with a concussion.

“Shit! I’m sor…”  Jay started to say but was cut off when we entered his room.

“I DON’T WONT TO HEAR 1 GOOD FOR NOTHING WORD OUT OF YOUR MOUTH YOU IDIOT!” Anna yells so loud the whole hospital can hear.

“Mom plea…” He starts again only for her to cut him off. I would try to calm her down but, I know I’ll get an ear full.

“NO TALKING, YOU LISTEN AND LISTEN GOOD! I’M SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOU RIGHT NOW THAT CAN’T EVEN BELIEVE YOU’RE MY SON! WE RAISED YOU BETTER THEN THIS! YOU ARE GROUNDED, NO FUN, NO FRIENDS, NO DRIVING, NO CAR, AND NOTHING! YOU WILL WORK YOU A** OFF TO PAY US BACK! YOUR COACH WILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID AND HE’LL WORK YOU UNTIL YOU CAN’T BREATH! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED PEOPLE, YOURSELF, AND MOST OF ALL YOUR SISTER! YOU DON’T CARE DO YOU AS LONG AS YOU HAVE FUN IT DOESN’T MATTER!” She stops to breath.

“It’s always about your dumba** daughter when one of us gets hurt.”

Smack!

She slapped him across the face then ran out the room with tears rolling down her face.

“I’m not going to yell at you Son because your mother did enough yelling for both of us but, you owe everyone an apology. She could have been in the morgue staring at 2 bodies of her children right now so she needs time. We love you Son and are glad your okay but, you’re so in trouble.” I say then walk out of the room.

Anna never goes off on our children like that but, all her emotions hit her at once and she needed to let loose like she did earlier. She calmed down and apologized to them so were having a family brunch together right now.
