The sound of loud footsteps echoed throughout the large forest, scaring off many fairies and creatures. They stomped down on many small trees, snapping and breaking the twigs under their feet as they ran through the forest. Labored breathing came from them as they ran, knowing that it'd be the end if they were to slow down. Suddenly, the smaller of the two yelped as she dripped on a rock, falling down to the ground beside the Sacred Tree. The other one whirled around, fear and concern evident on her face as she rushed over to her fallen comrade.
"Come on, get up! We can make it!"
The taller one yelled, trying to pull the other up. Her movements only got more frantic as the footsteps grew closer.
"I-I can't!....Go on without me!"
"No!"
She shook her head wildly and bit her lip harshly as she saw the large figure running towards them. She ducked down and hugged the smaller one tightly, yelping in fear as a giant hand reached down. Time seemed to slow down as the figure grabbed them and raised them up to it's face.
"You guys are so dramatic....sometimes I really do feel like the bad guy.."
The giant muttered, staring at the two smaller people in his hand. The taller of the two popped her head up and narrowed her eyes before sticking her nose up in the air.
"Jeez, Jasper! We're just pretending. Also, be more careful! You almost crushed poor Kaia! Uncle Ban and Aunt Jericho would've killed us!"
"More like you almost did, Dierama...."
Jasper muttered as the six year old lifted her head, a joyous grin on her face. The three had lived in the forest since birth and had always been joined at the hip.
Dierama, the eldest of the three at eleven human years, let out a slight huff and let her white wings emerge from behind her back. She floated up a bit, her dress swaying in the gentle breeze. She had a mix of orange and brown hair that went down to her mid back with light purple eyes and was wearing a light pink dress.
Jasper, her eight year old brother, rolled his purple eyes and let out a sigh. He had short brown hair and wore some leather cloths that securely hid his body.
Finally, there was six year old Kaia, who they thought of as family. She had shoulder length light blue hair with a single lavender streak on the left side and light red eyes. She wore a white skirt now stained green and brown from grass and dirt and a black blouse.
"What?! That isn't true at all!"
"Oh, shut up, Dia! I wasn't even squeezing that hard!"
The two siblings began to bicker and argue, ignoring Kaia. The whitette tilted her head to the side before smiling. She relaxed her back on Jasper's middle finger and used the magic ability that had been passed down to her to grab some berries from the nearby tree; her father's ability, "Snatch". The pointless arguing went on for a few minutes, with the siblings getting to the point of screaming and Kaia finishing her berries.
"You two!"
The three froze and snapped their heads up simultaneously, swallowing thickly as they saw the brunette standing at a small window in the Sacred Tree's trunk. Diane narrowed her eyes at her two kids and niece, shifting the weight of her youngest daughter from her right arm to her left arm.
"You woke Fern up from her nap! I've told you guys again and again; don't get loud when she's napping!"
"Sorry, Mom...'
"It won't happen again, Mom!"
"I had nothing to do with this, Aunt Diane."
Diane huffed and turned around as Dia and Jasper gave their cousin a mix between a shocked expression and an angry expression. The two year old in the serpent sin's arms let out a small whine, staring up at her mother with half-lidded tired eyes.
"Mommy..."
"I know, sweetie...lets try and get you back to sleep."
The shrunken giantess hummed, walking across the room that had been converted to Ferns room. Her baby girl was basically the spitting image of her father; curly locks of orange-brown hair and the same kind, loving orange eyes. She gently placed her in the crib they had made from wood and flowers. Suddenly, two arms wrapped around her waist as someone pressed against her back. She relaxed instantly as the familiar flowery scent of her lover entered her nose. King rested his head on her shoulder, giving her a smile before turning his attention back to his now-sleeping daughter.
"At least she falls asleep quick, nothing like Dia or Jasper."
"Thank the goddesses..."
Diane murmured, smiling as the fairy king beside her let out a small chuckle. She slowly turned around in his arms, wrapping her own around his neck. She rested her forehead against his and stared into his eyes, her own filled with love and adoration.
"Tomorrow will be twelve years since-"
"-since you remembered me, remembered us. I definitely say we go celebrate with the others, after all, we haven't seen Cap'n or the others since Fern's last birthday..."
"I know, I know...we will, okay?"
Diane hummed, giving her lover a surprise kiss on the nose. She giggled as his face turned dark red, a smile forming on her face. Even after all these years, she still managed to fluster him if she caught him off guard. His blush faded after a few seconds however and King smiled.
"You're perfect....:
"Hehe, you are too, Harlequin!~"
"I love you so much Diane.."
"..I love you too..~"
With that, the two joined their lips together for a sweet kiss. The memories they had made would forever stay in their hearts, withstanding the tests of time, fear, anger, and sadness.
Not even lost memories can keep destined lovers apart.

This is my first completed story and I'm very proud of it. I tried my hardest to give a happy ending.
Yes, I know what happens in the manga/anime. This is a story where those events don't happen, for one reason or another.
Thank you all again~
