Felix felt as if his boyfriend was becoming more distant. Noticing that changbins mind was focused on something else or someone else for that matter. Felix wanted to ask changbin what was up, but he didn't know how to confront him about the matter.Felix looking at himself in the mirror, he started taking in hushed voice, " Is there something I'm doing wrong?' 'Has he lost his feelings for me?' 'Is there someone else?' 'Am I not good enough?'" The questions ran wildly around his mind, leading to more unwanted questions.
Eventually Felix ran his hand through his hair and pushed the door to his shared room with changbin open. He let his legs lead him to the couch sitting across from changbin who was seated in the love seat. Sitting down he looked at changbins face the best he could seeing as his face was literally buried in his phone.
He remembered when looking at changbin used to make his heart beat faster than the speed of light. But sitting here now he felt nothing but grief and despair. Felix sat deep in thought not moving, only to jump when hyunjin texted him.
It was a simple reminder that he was now leaving his house. Fleix appreciates the little texts like these. He wasn't sure why he just knew he did. The Aussie replied with drive safe message. Hyunjin and Felix shared a text like this every weekend constantly.
"Changbin, Hyunjin will be here in a few minutes. cheer up." he said to Changbin. He didn't answer. "Changbin?" Felix just wanted recognition. Changbin looked complex, like he was thinking really hard about something. Thinking about it so much he didn't bother answering me.
Looking up he noticed that changbin had abandoned his game as well as his phone. He had laid it screen down on the coffee table at his legs. It was now changbins turn to be lost in thought. He had his head cupped in one hand with the fingers slightly tangled in his hair. The other hand was positioned on his knee which was bobbing up and down.
Felix cleared his throat hoping to get a reaction from his black haired boyfriend only to receive no sign of anything. This made his heart hurt a little and frustrate him a bit but he persisted.
"Hyunjin just texted." Felix said a little quietly still trying to find his voice.
Felix saw that changbins head flew up at the name being said. He would be lying if he said it didn't worry him a bit that his boyfriend would reply to his best friends name and not him. But as quickly as the shorter of the two head shot up it went back down.
"He, uh, said that he was just now leaving to head over here." He said a bit more confident while internally kicking himself for stuttering.
Felix tried looking changbin in the face but failed as his head was still in the downward position. Felix could tell that changbin was thinking deeply. He knew that when changbin started thinking this deeply it was about something complex. It had to be something important as he wouldn't listen to him.
"Hey changbin, did you hear what I said about hyunjin?" Felix persisted.
Much to Felix's surprise the words only made the situation worse. Chanbin threw Felix a glare like one of a dog ready to fight. The look sent shivers down Felix spine. He wasn't sure if changbin was going to lash out or not as he certainly looked it.
Taking a deep breath, which sounded much like a sigh changbin hauled himself up and began walking towards the hallway completely ignoring Felix's question.
Before leaving the room he muttered, "I'm going to take a shower." Just loud enough for Felix to hear.
What the hell is wrong with him? What happened? Should I tell him to talk to me? No, he can work it out himself, he is a grown man.
The questions are repeating. "What happened? Did I do something? What is he thinking about?"
changbin's POV
"I am so tired of this. I cant think straight. Why? Hyunjin, Why? Why must you be the one I always find myself thinking about? damn you Felix. This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for you. Or is that a good thing? Is it a good thing that we were introduced to each other?" My thoughts were interrupted by Felix.
"Changbin, Hyunjin will be here in a few minutes. cheer up." he tells me.
"no shit I know when he comes over, he has come over every weekend for who knows how long." I thought. I don't answer.
"Changbin?" he is trying to get my attention
I don't know what to say. I need to think about something else. but I cant. Ill talk a shower. I think better in the shower. yeah, ill do that.
"I am going to take a shower." I tell felix
I want to think about something different. All I have to do is think, just think.
3rd POV
Instead of thinking about something other than Hyunjin, that is all that was on Changbins mind. questions were repeating themselves. tears roll down his face from the feeling of his heart breaking in two. he was trying to cry silently. if it worked, he had no idea. all he could think about was Hyunjin, nothing else. Felix never entered Changbins mind at that point. standing under the running warm water, sobbing.
Felix enters the bathroom not bothering to knock saying, " Changbin, Hyunjin is here. are you almost done?" Changbin answers with a simple "okay".
He waits for the sound of the door to shut to turn the water off. Drying his body, he wipes the tears from his face. Only for them to continuously fall. He picks out his favorite black shirt and his best black ripped jeans. A tear slowly rolls down his cheek. He dries and brushes his hair, looks at himself in the mirror and says "stop lying to yourself." He wipes the fallen tear and walks out to see hyunjin and Felix sitting at the bar having a drink.
Hyunjin smiled and nodded and changbin saying "hello"
