Snowed In

Naruto woke up with a fright. Sasuke was in the closet dropping hangers and throwing pants around. He was making a mess and being too loud!

Naruto rubbed the sleep from his eyes and sat up. He yawned and looked at the clock. It was THREE AM.
Naruto shook his head. "Sasukeee" Naruto whined. "What are you doing?"

Sasuke popped out the closet fully dressed. He had a hat, gloves, and a heavy coat on.
"It's snowing out I need to shovel the driveway. We have to go to work today."

"Ohhh" Naruto sighed he took the blankets off him and got out of bed.

"You don't have to come out with me, I'll be back in when I'm done"

"No, it'll be quicker with both of us."

Sasuke couldn't argue because it was true. He wasn't expecting the snow to keep coming down all night. The news said it would stop but clearly it didn't.

Sasuke started the coffee pot before he put on his snow boots. He wasn't going to wait for Naruto to get dressed. Sasuke walked out the door and grabbed the shovel he had sitting next to the door.

He hurried and cleaned off the porch the sidewalk was next. It was a short sidewalk and the driveway was black top. He wasn't too worried. It would be easier to shovel black top.

Sasuke got to work by cleaning off his and Narutos car. The snow was still falling slowly. The driveway was covered with so much snow he was almost happy Naruto would be out here to help.

Quietly but quickly Sasuke got to work on the driveway. He first made a path and started from there. Each shovel of snow was full and heavy. He didn't want to take breaks he needed this driveway clear by 6:30.

"Where's the shovel!?" Naruto yelled to Sasuke. Sasuke sighed loudly. He didn't want Naruto out here but he needed him.

"It's over here!"

Naruto walked carefully down the steps and the driveway he was surprised by how much Sasuke had already gotten done.

"I'm here to help!" Naruto spoke fiercely and happy. He loved the snow and winter. He liked looking at the houses covered in snow and the trees. There was nothing better than waking up to a snow fall.

Except right now, because the sun is still down and the only thing he can see is the driveway from the streetlight.

"Are you going to stand there or help" Sasuke snapped. He wiped his runny nose and shook his head.

Naruto mimicked Sasukes posture and bad attitude as he got to work shoveling. He didn't mind shoveling, he was used to it. Both of them were. They both used to shovel driveways for extra money. Naruto used to do it for free, the old people needed his help.

"Hey Sasuke, you should sing a song"

Sasuke had no patience for this. He was tired and cold. His fingers felt like ice cubes and his ears were starting to go numb.

When Sasuke didn't answer Naruto didn't think anything of it. Who could be in a bad mood when you wake up to this!

"Okay.. what song should I sing?"

Sasuke growled quietly and still didn't answer him. He wanted this driveway clear. If Naruto wasn't going to help then he was going to go back inside.

"Fine, I'll pick a song to sing... unless you have any requests?"

Naruto picked up another shovel full of snow and waited patiently for Sasuke to answer. Sasuke was always a morning person, but this person was getting on Narutos nerves. He wanted happy Sasuke!

"All I want for Christmas is YOUUuuuu!" Naruto began to sing loudly. His voice was echoing through Sasukes ears like a bad song you can't get out of your head.

"Naruto!" Sasuke yelled. Naruto jumped and slipped on the icy snow. He fell to the ground with a hard thump and hit his head off the ground. To make matters worse the shovel he was holding came crashing down on his face leaving him with a small pinch of pain on his forehead.

Sasuke stood there mouth agape. He put the shovel down and rushed over to Naruto careful not to slip and fall.

Naruto stared at the beautiful sky, the snow falling made it seem like he was in a snow globe. The snow was surrounding him everywhere his eyes drifted. His didn't even feel any pain after the fall. He was mesmerized.

The stars and snow was a beautiful combination. He wanted nothing more than to share this sight with his lover.

"Sasukeee" Naruto whined. His rubbed his forehead where the shovel fell on him.

Sasuke kneeled next to Naruto and put his head in his lap. Sasuke took off his gloves and put his cold hands on Narutos warm face.
"Why would you fall like that? You idiot"

Naruto chuckled and turned his head to look at Sasuke who was staring him with such intensity it made him look away.

"Don't worry, I'm fine" Naruto said to ease Sasukes worries. He knew Sasuke was worried about him when he didn't have to be. So he fell and slammed his head on black top, big deal.

Naruto looked back at Sasuke and smiled at him. "Kiss me"

Sasuke leaned down and kissed Naruto softly. "Now look at the sky with me"

Sasuke turned away from Naruto and looked up at the sky. He felt the snow flakes drop on his face. They melted instantly sending him small drops of cold.

"It looks beautiful doesn't it" Naruto muttered.

Sasuke agreed quietly. "Yeah it does. Now go inside so I can finish."
Sasuke moved Naruto off his lap and got back up.

"I love you Sasuke"

"I love you too"

"All I want for Chr-"

"Go inside!" Sasuke yelled he threw a snowball at Naruto and smiled when it him directly in the face.

Naruto laughed loudly and walked back into the house. He put on some Christmas music and waited for Sasuke to finish so they could drink coffee before work.

What a perfect morning.
