I woke up to the sound of trumpets.

"Please leave your quarters good citizens!" A voice boomed over us. I shook Amie awake.

"Look!" I said. We looked outside.

There were fancy carriages and horses on the small path.

"We are looking for Princess Clarice of the Shereffa kingdom, and her companions Amelia and Dyllan Cole, daughter and son of General Cole of the Shereffa Kingdom."

We gasped. That was us.

"Run." I said while packing up my things.

"Dyll!" I said "Get your stuff and get ready to run!"

With everything except the tents packed up we ran.

"The tents!" Amie exclaimed.

"No time! Come On!" Dyll replied.

We were all scared. Would we be punished if they caught us? I hope not, I'd have to do stable duty for weeks. But if we come back with Iris we'd be rewarded! I can't wait to find her.

"Clary! Look!" Amie said. "It's a tower!"

I look up and indeed there is a tower.

"Climb!" Dyll says. "It's our only chance!"

So we climbed.
