“Please, don’t argue with me now. We will talk about this when Prime comes back and he decides,” the medic went on with his conversion to the youngest of the triplets. He continued to follow her as he finished.
“Okay. I understand. I won’t argue,” Sideswipe mumbled.
“Ratchet! Behind you!” Jazz barked. Ratchet was confused but cried out in pain when someone bit down on his scruff of yellow fur. The force the body brought the medic to the ground roughly.
“Fight someone equal to yourself, you coward!” Jazz snarled, attacking Ratchet’s attacker: Starscream.
“Who do you mean?! Yourself?” Starscream demanded. Starscream retreated away from his opponent, as Jazz was being surrounded by Soundwave and Bonecrusher. The young Autobot gathered together some of his strength and howled, trying to alert Optimus and the others outside of the camp.
“You’d better save your strength for the fight. You’ll need it because no one will answer your howl. No one will help you,” Soundwave sneered.
“And how do you know that?! Prime surely heard me!” Jazz growled.
“Prime? I don’t count on it. I think you also feel that too,” Soundwave said. Bonecrusher came up behind Jazz and snarled. Jazz realized they wouldn’t win the battle.
“You look surprised, Medic. Were you expecting someone?”
“Megatron,” Ratchet shuddered.
“Finally I will destroy this pack. And this time, Prime isn’t here to stop me!” Megatron bellowed, “For you, however, I will make a proposal to join my pack. A competent medic will be useful to me.”
“Do not mock me, Megatron! Even if my life depended upon it I would never join you!” Ratchet snapped.
“Let’s see how quickly you regret your decision!” Megatron growled before he lunged to attack the yellow wolf. Both left a mark on each other before Ratchet was on the ground again. Megatron over him growling.
“As I said before, Prime won’t be here to stop me!” Megatron snarled, “Look! Watch as this pack dies. The era of Primes is over!”
“Now we will rule the way we want!” Megatron hissed at Ratchet, “And anyone who disagrees will end up like you.”
“No…” Ratchet murmured, “You count on an easy victory, Megatron, and we will fight as long as we are here!”
Ratchet lent up to bite down on Megatron’s maw. A yelp came from the grey wolf when it started to bleed. Ratchet’s hind legs propelled Megatron over him before going to assist Jazz. The medic bit down on one of Soundwave’s legs to get him away from the younger Autobot, “Run Jazz. Help Sideswipe, Savvy, and Ace, and get them out of here! Find Optimus and Ironhide, and warn them!”
“Ratchet. What about you?” Jazz whined.
“Don’t argue with me! This is not the time for that!” Ratchet barked.

“Come on, Ace! We have to help the others,” Savvy said. Her and Ace were holding off Soundwave’s little creatures.
“Oh Savvy, always trying to make a difference,” Ace hissed.
“What do you mean?” Savvy whined.
“This pack, these Prime followers, mean nothing to us. We deserve a better pack,” Ace said.
“How could you say that?!” Savvy snarled, growling at her littermate.
“Megatron has offered us a place in his pack, just think, we won’t be treated like pups anymore. Having to be watched constantly,” Ace said.
“I refuse to join him! We are no longer siblings, you’re not the Ace I knew!” Savvy sneered.
“So be it, Savvy” Ace growled before lunging at her. Before he made contact with her another wolf jumped at him. Savvy saw the silver and red fur. Sideswipe.
“Savvy, we have to leave!” Sideswipe barked. Her and Sideswipe made a dash to catch up with Jazz. The three didn’t know what would become of them in the future.

For what seemed like hours, Bumblebee and Sunstreaker have been traveling down the river. Bumblebee had been sniffling the whole time while Sunstreaker tried to track down Optimus and Sunset. So far they had no luck.
Sunstreaker finally let out a sigh, “Seriously, ‘Bee. Pull yourself together and speed up a bit. The sooner we find Prime and Sunset, the better.”
“But you saw what happened. They were killed. Just like ‘Hide. We better go back home and tell the rest what happened. Ratchet should be here,” Bumblebee croaked.
“We don’t know if they’re dead! We’ll find out when we find them!” Sunstreaker snapped.
“I’m sorry ‘Bee. I also wish we could help Ironhide. That we didn’t foresee how it would end. But if Prime survived, he’ll need our help. Going back to inform the pack will waste our time. You will go for Ratchet as soon as we find them, okay?” Sunstreaker said softly. The younger yellow wolf nodded and silently followed behind Sunstreaker. Both of them wallowed in grief, both lost someone they were close to. Sunstreaker continued sniffing at the ground, only to stop hear soft sobs from behind him. Another sigh left the middle triplet.
“Please, Bumblebee. I really need your help,” Sunstreaker said.
“I’m sorry, Sunstreaker” Bumblebee whined, ”I just still can’t believe what happened.”
“I know… me too…” Sunstreaker murmured.
“Do you think Optimus is still alive?” Bumblebee asked.
“I hope, but we will know only when we find him, and you have to help me,” Sunstreaker replied. “I’ll do what I can,” Bumblebee mumbled.
“In that case, use your nose, ‘Bee. Now we have to stick together. Without Prime, we’re nothing.”
The two of them went to sniffing at the ground near the riverbank. It took a while before they turned a bend, “Sunny!”
“What?” Sunstreaker nearly jumped out of his fur at the sudden shout. Up ahead, in the river. On a floating log was a mass of blue and red fur. Optimus Prime. Both of them were in the water, there to get Optimus out of the water.
“Optimus!”
“Prime!”
“Sunny, how is he? He’s alive? Please tell me he’s alive!” Bumblebee begged.
“I don’t know, I’m not a medic. It’s hard to say here. We need to pull him ashore,” Sunstreaker said. “Help me, ‘Bee!”
The two wolves dragged the limp, wet form of their leader to dry land. It had been a bit of a challenge with the current.
“Now what?” Bumblebee asked.
“How am I supposed to know what to do in such a situation?! We need Ratchet!” Sunstreaker exclaimed.
“I wanted to go get him, but you said no. Maybe I should now?” Bumblebee suggested. Sunstreaker only placed his head sideways on Optimus’ chest, making out the faint steady rhythm of his lungs working to cycle air. Then hearing his heart’s beating. “Wait. I think his heart is beating.”
“Prime, please don’t die. We’re here, wake up” Bumblebee pleaded, “Please Optimus, don’t leave us alone… please...”
