It took some time, but Savvy, Jazz, and Sideswipe had managed to find Bumblebee, Sunstreaker, and Optimus. When they were in sight they began to run again, shouting their names.

“Sunny! ‘Bee!” Jazz howled.

“Brother!” Sideswipe called out.

“Side’s!” Sunstreaker was happy to see his brother… his one sibling living now, “Oh it’s good to see you, I already feared the worse.”

“By Primus. Bumblebee, what happened?” Jazz asked, looking over Optimus silent battered form. “Sunstreaker! What’ wrong with Prime? What happened here?”

“I’m afraid Sentinel betrayed us. To make matters worse, he probably planned this for a long time, and this is the reason why he returned. He surprised Optimus, he appeared on the hill with Black Out and Barricade,” Sunstreaker said.

“What?” Sideswipe breathed with disbelief.

“They threw him off the cliff into the river,” Sunstreaker added.

“It was supposed to kill him… Then Sentinel turned and just like that… effortlessly killed Ironhide and—” his voice cracked, “and Sunset. Me and ‘Bee barely escaped.”

“What… Ironhide… Sunset..” Sideswipe had tears brimming his baby blue eyes. Hearing that his sister was killed struck him hard, Sunset seemed impossible to kill. She always fought back.

“Impossible!” Jazz exclaimed.

“So… your hunch was correct,” Sideswipe murmured.

“No one could have predicted it, Sides” Savvy said. She was sad to hear her best friend had been killed, as well as the wolf that helped take care of them when she and Ace were pups.

“What happened to you three? Your hurt,” Sunstreaker asked.

“It’s nothing. When we stayed at the dens alone, Megatron and the rest of his pack attacked us,” Sideswipe sighed. “We had to flee. Ratchet helped us, I don’t even know if he’s alive still. We lost our territory.”

Jazz had trotted over to Bumblebee and Optimus, being warmly greeted by the young scout. Though his body language showed he was in grief still, he still made a smile for Jazz.

“How is he?” Jazz asked.

“He’s still alive and breathing. His fur is dry,” Bumblebee said, “But he still won’t wake up and started to tremble. What should we do now?”

“Right, Jazz. What now?” Sideswipe asked.

“Why do I have to decide?” Jazz questioned.

“Because now your the oldest,” Sunstreaker stated.

“It’d only make sense for you to lead for a bit, Jazz. Just until Optimus can again,” Savvy said.

Jazz sighed, “I think we should stay here for the night and wait until morning. If Optimus will not wake up, then we will think what to do then.”

Everyone curled around Bumblebee and Optimus, Savvy had started to lick at the blood on Optimus’ muzzle and neck before moving onto Jazz. The more she went into thought about her brother, her licks became hard and rough. Her ears folded back the more she got angry.

“Savvy?” Bumblebee piped up. Savvy’s emotions did a flip and she didn’t feel angry anymore, looking at the younger wolf.

“Yeah?” she asked.

“Why are you angry? I think you might lick Jazz’s fur right off,” Savvy snorted in amusement at his humor.

“I’m upset ‘Bee, not with Sunset and Ironhide’s death, but because Ace was part of this,” Bumblebee gasped. “He planned with Megatron and Sentinel?!”
