Rielyr took a breath as they exited their apartment doing their best to fix their tie even with the one shaking hand they had free. Their shoes made a light pattern of taps as they walked on the hardwood floors. They found themselves walking down the stairs, almost tripping a few times and responding with quiet short curses. Once they reached the ground floor they adjusted their glasses that had tilted a bit on their face. As they exited the building they noticed the strange glances they got from strangers on the street, they didn't blame them, they always did kind of stick out.

Among the flooded streets of basic almost looking, humans, they walked, shortcut white hair, in their late twenties, sickly almost pale skin, light blue eyes that looked almost silver at times, dresses as if they were about ready to teach a class, well they were.

Their walk was spent in silence, ignoring the looks from strangers and even children. They tried to tune out the children they could hear talking to their parents.

'Mommy, why does he look like that?'

'Mom, is that woman okay?'

'Dad, doesn't she look a little strange?'

Rielyr did their best to block out the responses of the parents as well, they weren't any better.

"Honey stay away from him, you don't know what could be wrong with him."

"Sweetheart, she must just be a little out of it, okay? Say out of her way."

"Son, don't worry about it, she's probably just got some problems."

Rielyr took a deep breath bringing a hand to the back of their neck for a moment, letting their hand sink under the collar of their shirt for a moment. Their short nails jabbing into the already bruised and sensitive skin. The walked like that for a while, a blank look across their face. Most people who passed dismissed the action and focused in on their looks as per usual.

They reached a building and took no time at all to duck inside to hide away from the other humans. They walked through the halls of the large building before finding a room with an open door. They placed on a confused look as they walked inside looking around. They had no trouble spotting a person sitting in one of the many rows of seats. They cleared their throat quickly gaining the person's attention. Rielyr almost felt their anxiety take over once they locked eyes with the person.

"Can, can I help you?" Rielyr questioned walking over to a wooden desk and setting down a bag they'd been holding.

"Oh I'm sorry, I guess I got here early." The girl replied with a short awkward laugh after they spoke.

"It's alright. You're in my class? I don't think I've seen you before." Rielyr took a moment to look over the woman.

She was well built, had light tanned skin, freckles slightly darker then her normal color dotting across her cheeks, curly red hair that was pulled into a mess of a ponytail, Amber eyes that basically told Rielyr something new, she saw no judgment.

"Huh? I have been for the last year!" The girl laughed a bright smile on her face.

"Oh, I'm sorry. It's hard for me to remember all of my students." Rielyr sighed quietly as they sat at their desk pulling a large folder filled to the brim with papers from their bag.

"It's okay, I'm not much to remember anyway." The girl mumbled glancing down to their own papers again.

"Ethan Alderson, right?" Rielyr glanced up from the paperwork and to the girl.

"Did you just, it's not Ethan." The girl looked up from the papers, glaring at them.

"I'm sorry, my bad," Rielyr mumbled keeping their eyes locked on the papers.
