he told me
| one |I met him in my english class during my third year in college. I hadn't known he was in the class until he sat next to me that one day. He smiled at me and introduced himself to me and I reciprocated the action. We made small talk and he offered to buy lunch after the class had ended; I wasn't going to deny his charm and definite good looks.
He knew all the right words to say. He had told me my hair and clothing complimented my body and image well. He said he was impressed with the college courses I was taking, explaining to him I wanted to be a teacher and educate little kids. We had gone on two dates before he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was ecstatic, boasting to my small group of friends that I had finally got a boyfriend who makes me feel like I'm the only girl in the world.
I had introduced him to my family and they seemed skeptical, my father especially, seeing as he is protective over those he loves. When we went back to his apartment afterwards, he expressed that he didn't like the way my family had acted towards him. I told him that it was just a first meeting and they would come around soon enough.
